Marrakech Hotels – A Family Guide 2026

Travelling to Morocco with children can be an amazing adventure, but picking the right place to stay makes all the difference. Marrakech is full of colors, sounds, and excitement, and choosing the right hotel can help your family enjoy it safely and comfortably. Here’s my guide to the best family-friendly Marrakech hotels.

Types of Marrakech Hotels

  • Riads (Traditional Moroccan Houses) – Some riads function as boutique Marrakech hotels. They often have courtyards and rooftop terraces, which can be fun for kids, but check if they are child-friendly and safe.

  • Resorts and Hotels – From luxury to mid-range, Marrakech hotels often have pools, kids’ clubs, and babysitting services, making them perfect for families.

  • Villas and Apartments – Renting a villa can give you the feel of a private hotel. Many work like Marrakech hotels for families, with kitchens, private pools, and plenty of space.

Tried & Tested: Our Personal Recommendation

My son and I stayed at Be Live Experience Marrakech Palmeraie last summer and it’s hands down our FAVOURITE hotels we’ve ever stayed in – not just in Morocco, but worldwide!

The pool scene is incredible, with a brilliant splash park for kids and a large shallow area in the main pool that feels super safe. The food was delicious and really varied, plus the rooms felt super luxurious.

Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa

Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa is a standout choice among Marrakech hotels for families who love water action, with an onsite aquapark and multiple pools set among beautiful garden landscapes. Kids enjoy the slides and water play, while there’s plenty of space for adults to relax in the spa or lounge by the water. LABRANDA Targa Club Aquapark

LABRANDA Targa Club Aquapark is a fun choice of Marrakech hotels for families who want everything in one place, with its own aquapark, several pools for both children and adults, and all‑inclusive dining. El Olivar Palace Marrakech

El Olivar Palace Marrakech is another family‑friendly option within the range of Marrakech hotels that offers a lovely outdoor pool with slides and a children’s club, so little ones have plenty to do while parents relax or enjoy a meal. The all‑inclusive option takes the stress out of planning food, and the spacious grounds give families room to stretch out and enjoy the sunshine

Areas for Marrakech Hotels

Marrakech has several neighborhoods, each offering a different kind of experience:

  • Medina (Old City) – Staying here puts you right in the heart of history, markets, and lively squares like Jemaa el-Fnaa. Many Marrakech hotels in the Medina have a traditional feel, but be ready for narrow, busy streets with kids.

  • Gueliz (New Town) – This modern area has wide streets, parks, and shopping centers. Marrakech hotels here are convenient, quieter, and close to restaurants and playgrounds.

  • Hivernage – Known for luxury resorts, Hivernage offers Marrakech hotels with pools, gardens, and plenty of space. It’s great for families who want a more relaxed stay.

Top Tips for Staying in Marrakech Hotels with Kids

  1. Pick a hotel with pools and water fun – Many Marrakech hotels have splash zones, waterparks, and slides that keep kids entertained for hours. Resorts like Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Club and Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa are perfect for water-loving families.

  2. Check for kids’ clubs and playgrounds – A kids’ club or dedicated play area gives children a chance to make friends and enjoy activities while parents relax.

  3. Consider location carefully – If you want to explore the Medina, look for hotels with shuttle services or easy access to the city center. Quieter areas like Hivernage and Palmeraie are great for relaxation.

  4. All-inclusive options make life easier – Hotels offering all-inclusive meals save time and stress, especially with picky eaters or little ones who get hungry often.

  5. Family rooms and amenities matter – Make sure your hotel offers spacious rooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and safety features like gates or secure balconies.

  6. Mix pool days with sightseeing – Balance the excitement of the hotel pools and entertainment with a bit of culture – Marrakech has gardens, palaces, and souks that kids can enjoy too.

  7. Plan for relaxation – Even with all the activities, schedule some downtime for naps, quiet reading, or simply enjoying the gardens and terraces.

Marrakech Hotels for Families – Overall

Marrakech is full of vibrant sights, sounds, and activities, and the right hotel can make all the difference for a family holiday. From waterpark-filled resorts like Pickalbatros Aqua Fun Club and Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa, to quieter family-friendly retreats like Sol Oasis Marrakech, there are Marrakech hotels to suit every style and pace. Most of the top options offer pools, kids’ clubs, splash zones, and all-inclusive meals, making it easy to keep children entertained while parents relax. Whether you want to be close to the bustling Medina, enjoy luxury and comfort in Hivernage, or have a resort-style stay with endless water fun, Marrakech has a hotel that will make your family trip both stress-free and unforgettable.
