Dubrovnik is perfect for both city breaks and beach escapes. With an insanely beautiful old town packed with historic significance, sat besides some gorgeous beaches, it really does have something for everyone.

You could easily spend a week in Dubrovnik exploring the beaches, city and nearby islands. You would need at least 3 full days to make the most of your trip if you wanted to explore the old town and beaches at a relaxed pace.

Yes it can be. Especially if you visit in high season and when cruise ships are docked. You can check the schedule for cruise ships and see the number of passengers onboard here. Try and choose a day to visit the old town when there aren’t too many ships docked.

Croatia uses the Euro and has since January 2023. Prior to this the Croatian Kuna was used.

Dubrovnik old town is 21km from Dubrovnik airport. It is around a 30 minute drive. There is no train or metro so you will need to travel by road.

Billund in Denmark has so many fun family attractions. We visited Legoland, Lego House, Lalandia and Wow Park - there is lots of cheap accommodation in the town. I’ve got blog posts covering the different attractions on our website 🫶🏻

Unpopular opinion - but babies aren’t the worst encounter you could have in upper class….

I feel like I am on my own when I say this, but upper/business class is very overrated. People told me I’d never want to go back to economy, but luckily for me, I’m much more of an economy girl at heart. I did another business flight shortly after this in the Q Suite with Qatar, and I got the sh*t’s from their lobster mac and cheese - that was the nail in the coffin for my brief encounter with the boujee life 🫡

The fact I caught him saying this on camera 😭🥰

We managed to visit the Maldives on a budget by staying on local islands as opposed to expensive resort islands. These islands are much cheaper, not only for accommodation but for the day trips too. All of these experiences would have cost a fortune from a resort. A full day renting a boat for our family, seeing dolphins, sharks, sting rays and even lunch was only £160 for us all!

We did this as part of our budget Lapland trip!
(Give us a follow for tons more great travel ideals 🫶🏻)

This stay in itself wasn’t particularly budget, but, the joy of cutting back in all the other areas means things like this become affordable! @lakeinarimobilecabins offers this experience along with lots of other day trips and fun activities.

I have a whole blog post on how we did a week in Lapland for under £3000 (including everything from the clothes we bought to petrol!)
