FAQs
The best time to visit Ibiza is from May to October. If you’re after warm weather, beach days and a buzzing atmosphere without the peak summer crowds, May, June and September are perfect. You’ll still get sunshine, but it’s quieter and a little more budget-friendly – ideal if you’re travelling with kids!
Not at all! While Ibiza is famous for its nightlife, there’s so much more to it. Think quiet beaches, yoga retreats, charming villages, nature walks and family-friendly resorts. If you want to avoid the party scene, just steer clear of the big clubs in San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa the rest of the island is peaceful and full of hidden gems.
Ibiza can be pricey, especially in July and August, but it doesn’t have to be! From beach picnics to local tapas spots and self-catering apartments, there are plenty of ways to keep costs down. If you plan ahead and avoid the high-end party scene, Ibiza can be just as affordable as anywhere else in Spain.
Yes! Ibiza is very safe, especially for families and couples. The locals are welcoming, and the island has a relaxed, friendly feel. Like anywhere, just be sensible with valuables and look out for each other in busy areas, especially at night. But overall, it’s a safe and easy place to explore.
Absolutely! There are loads of budget-friendly places to stay, from simple family-run hotels to peaceful apartments outside the main resorts. Public buses are cheap and reliable, and many of the island’s best things – beaches, sunsets, local markets – are completely free. It’s all about how you do it!

Billund in Denmark has so many fun family attractions. We visited Legoland, Lego House, Lalandia and Wow Park - there is lots of cheap accommodation in the town. I’ve got blog posts covering the different attractions on our website 🫶🏻

Unpopular opinion - but babies aren’t the worst encounter you could have in upper class….
I feel like I am on my own when I say this, but upper/business class is very overrated. People told me I’d never want to go back to economy, but luckily for me, I’m much more of an economy girl at heart. I did another business flight shortly after this in the Q Suite with Qatar, and I got the sh*t’s from their lobster mac and cheese - that was the nail in the coffin for my brief encounter with the boujee life 🫡

The fact I caught him saying this on camera 😭🥰
We managed to visit the Maldives on a budget by staying on local islands as opposed to expensive resort islands. These islands are much cheaper, not only for accommodation but for the day trips too. All of these experiences would have cost a fortune from a resort. A full day renting a boat for our family, seeing dolphins, sharks, sting rays and even lunch was only £160 for us all!

We did this as part of our budget Lapland trip!
(Give us a follow for tons more great travel ideals 🫶🏻)
This stay in itself wasn’t particularly budget, but, the joy of cutting back in all the other areas means things like this become affordable! @lakeinarimobilecabins offers this experience along with lots of other day trips and fun activities.
I have a whole blog post on how we did a week in Lapland for under £3000 (including everything from the clothes we bought to petrol!)
