FAQs
To visit Disneyland Paris on a budget, consider staying in nearby Val d’Europe, which offers affordable accommodations and easy access to the park via a short train ride. Look for discounted park tickets online and plan your visit during off-peak seasons to save on both lodging and entrance fees. Bring your own snacks and meals to avoid high food costs inside the park. Take advantage of free attractions and shows within Disneyland Paris to maximise your experience without spending extra.
Val d’Europe offers several budget-friendly hotels and accommodations. Options include chain hotels like Ibis and B&B Hotel, as well as apartment rentals for families or groups. These accommodations provide easy access to Disneyland Paris via a short train or shuttle ride. Many hotels in Val d’Europe also offer amenities such as free breakfast and family-friendly services, helping you save even more on your trip. Booking in advance can secure better rates and availability.
Traveling from Val d’Europe to Disneyland Paris is simple and convenient. The RER A train line connects Val d’Europe to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, the station right at Disneyland Paris, with a journey time of about 5 minutes. Trains run frequently throughout the day. Alternatively, many hotels in Val d’Europe offer shuttle services to and from the park. Walking is also an option, as it’s only a 15-20 minute stroll, allowing you to save on transport costs and enjoy the scenery.
Val d’Europe offers a variety of budget-friendly dining options. The Val d’Europe shopping centre has numerous restaurants and a food court with affordable meals. Supermarkets like Auchan allow you to buy groceries and prepare your own meals if you’re staying in an apartment. Inside Disneyland Paris, opt for counter-service restaurants, which are generally cheaper than sit-down dining. You can also bring your own snacks and meals into the park to save money.
The best times to visit Disneyland Paris to avoid crowds and enjoy lower prices are during the off-peak seasons. Visit in January, February, or November (excluding school holidays) when the park is less crowded and accommodation rates are lower. Weekdays are typically quieter than weekends. Early spring and late autumn also offer fewer visitors and more pleasant weather. Planning your visit during these times will help you make the most of your Disneyland Paris experience without long wait times or high costs.

I am SO bad at keeping secrets… and this has been a big one!
It has always been a dream of mine to publish a book, so when I got a genuine book deal, it was VERY hard to not shout it from the roof tops! Excitement turned into panic when I realised I actually had to write a whole book... but it’s been an incredible journey.
This is more than just a travel book - I share things I’ve never spoken about publicly before, including some difficult moments to revisit, alongside everything I know about bargain family travel.
Thank you @dkeyewitness for bringing my ideas to life, and to @belllomaxmoreton and @mackenzieweller_management for believing in me from the very start ❤️🙏🏻

We made it work - and you can too.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt since having kids, it’s that your life will be chaotic and wild whether you’re sat at home, in Tescos or on a beach somewhere lush - I know where I’ll be 😅🍹
We have always been budget travellers, and our followers are always shocked at the price we spend on our trips. Follow along for tips, inspo and help getting your family out there ❤️

Taking little Kids to Japan - My honest opinion 🙃
Pros:
👶🏻 In general, it’s a country that loves kids (quiet kids… see con #1)
✨ Toilets are cleaner than your kitchen.
🚽 Toilets are fun (the “bum spray” will never lose its novelty with a 5 year old)
🎢 Disney parks are much cheaper than in the US/EU
❤️ Very safe country.
😸 They love a cartoon character. Themed cafes are everywhere.
Cons:
🤫 It is a very quiet culture. Japanese children are very well behaved. If yours are anything like mine, you’ll get a few side eyes.
✈️ Travelling so far east = Crazy jet lag - Not fun with little ones who want to get ready at 3am.
🍽️ Tiny restaurants aren’t pram friendly, and it was rare anywhere had a baby chair.
🛏️ A family room often turned out to be one double bed for us all to share. Not one place we stayed had a baby cot.
We actually had a great holiday, but it isn’t one for the faint hearted. If a cute Eurocamp holiday in France is level 1 of the family holiday world, this was definitely level 50 😅
💻 I’ve got a blog post on our website with our itinerary and what the 3 week trip cost us ❤️
