Looking for the Best Family Resorts in Turkey? We’ve got you covered!

Package Holidays or DIY?

Package holidays are brilliant for families who want a stress-free option. Everything’s bundled together – flights, hotel, and often extras like luggage and transfers too. You’ll often get:

  • Free child places
  • Instalment options
  • Transfers included
  • Tour operator support if needed
  • Less to juggle overall!

It’s the easiest way to get something booked and ticked off the list.

DIY Holidays

If you’re up for a bit more planning, DIY holidays can save you money and open up more unique travel options. Booking flights and hotels separately can help you:

  • Cut costs
  • Choose different transport options (like public buses or car hire)
  • Explore less touristy areas
  • Add multiple stops to your trip

Use our DIY Trip Builder tool to do all the searching in one go – flights and hotels, all in one place, with only well-reviewed options in good locations. It makes it easy to build your own DIY holiday while keeping costs down. You only have to do one search to find both flights and hotels. We only source well rated hotels in good locations to save you time.

So, why Turkey for a family friendly holiday?

Turkey is one of our favourite family destinations – it’s gorgeous, full of culture, and usually a lot more affordable than other places around the Med. Whether you’re exploring Antalya’s coastline, Bodrum’s beach clubs, or the charming streets of Side, here’s why Turkey should be on your list for summer 2025:

  • Sunshine – With long, sunny seasons stretching from spring into autumn, Turkey is perfect for school holiday escapes without worrying about the weather.
  • Great value for families – All inclusive hotels here can be a total bargain, and you often get a lot more for your money compared to other summer hotspots.
  • Non-stop family fun – Think lazy boat days, splash-filled waterparks, buzzing markets and exciting outdoor adventures – no chance of anyone getting bored.
  • Beautiful coastlines and epic views – Whether you’re after sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters or a backdrop of mountains and ancient ruins, Turkey’s got it all.
  • Tasty food & super friendly vibes – Turkish meals are made for sharing, and you’ll find locals going out of their way to welcome families (kids are totally adored here!).
  • Easy to get to – Loads of direct flights from the UK airports,

It’s been a favourite with families for years, and it’s easy to see why: sunshine, short flights, great value, and loads to do for all ages. But Turkey isn’t just about beaches (although they are stunning!) – you’ll also find rich history, colourful bazaars, and some of the most welcoming people around.

Whether you’re heading to the Turquoise Coast or exploring beyond the resort, here are some of the best places in Turkey for your next family adventure.

  • Land of Legends – An incredible theme park – you can even go free a few evenings a week to see the light show!
  • Alanya – Filled with bargain hotels, note that it is a good transfer time from the airport.
  • Side – A great combination of beaches and historic sites to explore.

Ksamil is a town on the Albanian Riviera and has had some very mixed reviews over the years, and I think a lot of that comes down to when you visit.

We absolutely loved our trip. It was incredibly affordable too - we paid £190 for six nights in an apartment that slept five! (This was in 2023) I’ve written a full blog post about the trip over on the website, where I’ve shared some great-value accommodation options and tips if you’re thinking about booking something similar.

Comment BLOG and I’ll send you the link along with some cheap flights and info on how to get there!

Expect things like:

🍻 £1.50 pints
🦐 Seafood dishes for under £10
☀️ Beautiful, crystal-clear beaches

We visited in May, when there were very few other people around. The town was just starting to open up for the season, the weather was lovely, and it felt relaxed and easy to enjoy.

June also seems like a great time to visit – a few more things open, but still without the peak summer crowds.

July and August appear to be a very different experience. The town is quite small, and it struggles to cope with the number of visitors in peak season. It can feel very crowded, and prices - particularly for things like sun loungers - can become very steep because of the demand.

So if Ksamil is on your list, timing really is everything!
