Hotel Allegro Isora: A Family Review!
Planning a holiday with a 3 year old can be a delicate balancing act. You want somewhere safe, fun, and relaxing, but also full of activities that can hold your little one’s attention. Last year we stayed at Hotel Allegro Isora in Tenerife, and found exactly that. This bright, cheerful resort turned out to be the perfect place for our small family, offering a mix of sunshine, entertainment, and thoughtful facilities that made travelling with a toddler not only easy, but truly enjoyable.
Hotel Allegro Isora : First Impressions
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that families are at the heart of Hotel Allegro Isora’s design. The check-in staff were warm and helpful, with friendly ‘HOLAS’ for Jasper, who was immediately drawn to the colourful surroundings and the bright lobby. The resort is clean, cheerful, and laid out in a way that’s easy to navigate. This made it feel safe and manageable even when our toddler decided he wanted to run ahead (as they do!).
The transfer time from the airport was short, around 35 minutes – which is always a bonus and super affordable!

Hotel Allegro Isora : Our Family Apartment
We stayed in a one-bedroom family apartment, and it suited our needs perfectly. The space was bright and airy, with a separate sleeping area that allowed us to stay up and relax a bit after bedtime. The kitchenette came in handy for preparing snacks and simple meals, a must when travelling with a little one who sometimes just wants toast and fruit instead of restaurant food!
Our room was in F block, which was one of the furthest away but located next to the kids club & splash pool – this suited us perfectly! We didn’t hear any noise from the evening entertainment, but I can imagine one of the blocks situated next to the lively music would not have been ideal with smaller children who have an earlier bedtime!
The Pools!
One of the biggest reasons we chose Allegro Isora, aside from the great deal we got, was for the choice of pools – and it did not disappoint. The splash area quickly became our son’s favourite part of the resort. The pool was shallow, safe, and full of fun. We spent hours there every day. He loved splashing around with other toddlers, climbing up the small slide, and then screaming for EVERYONE to hear him.
The Water Slide
While the large water slide is more geared toward older kids, we were pleasantly surprised to find that with supervision, our 3-year-old could still enjoy it using a rubber ring – with one of us accompanying him. The slide is wide and gentle enough for a toddler to enjoy! This is located in the bottom pool, which is probably the largest.
There are a further 2 pools to choose from, with one being next to the pool bar. This is usually where the daytime entertainment took place, with a DJ and sometimes even a foam party!
We visited in June, and found this time to be perfect for weather, but also for sun bed availability! We didn’t find any issues nabbing a good one for the whole 10 days.
Hotel Allegro Isora Kids’ Club
Another lovely surprise was the indoor kids’ club. While it’s technically for ages 4 and up, younger children are welcome with parental supervision. We took our son there most afternoons to get out of the sun, and he loved it. The space is colourful and inviting, filled with books, puzzles, soft toys, and craft materials. The staff were great, and it wasn’t overcrowded at any point. There is a small park attached to the back of it which is gated, although due to the heat not many people were using it during the day!
A major win is that next to the outdoor entertainment arena, there is a MASSIVE kids play park, all wooden so can be used even when it’s sunny! It was like a mini adventure playground with an enclosed football/basketball pitch attached. This area was popular after dinner, when you are all desperate for the kids disco to start!
Hotel Allegro Isora Entertainment
Evenings were just as fun. Allegro Isora has a fantastic outdoor stage and seating area with plenty of space and colour. Most nights there was a mini disco or live show, and our son was up and dancing from the first beat of ‘chocolaaaateee’ IYKYK!! The entertainers were great with the kids, energetic, inclusive, and genuinely fun.
There’s even a cute little treat van nearby selling sweets and snacks, which became our post-disco ritual. The environment was lively but never overwhelming, with plenty of space to sit, watch, and enjoy as a family.
Food: Toddler-Approved Choices
We were pleasantly surprised by how family-friendly the buffet was. Our son loved picking his own food (with a bit of help), and there was always something he would eat – from pasta and chicken nuggets to fruit, and even pancakes in the morning.
High chairs were readily available, and the staff were quick to help if we needed anything. Mealtimes never felt stressful, which, as any parent of a toddler knows, is a small miracle on holiday!
We were staying on an all inclusive basis during this trip, and often we chose to give him his dinner early from the pool bar. Throughout the day you can grab things like pizza, nuggets, onion rings etc, meaning anything extra he ate during our meals was a bonus!
Extra Touches That Made a Big Difference
There were so many small details that showed how much Allegro Isora values families with young children:
- Shaded areas around the splash pool & parks made it easy to avoid sunburn.
- Ramp access and pram-friendly paths were everywhere.
- Staff often stopped to say hello and chat with our son, even helping us at dinner with feeding him so we could catch a break!
- Child friendly meal options available throughout the day!
Things you need to know:
- There is no onsite supermarket, but there is one located around 2 minutes walk away selling a variety of British food/drink options including nappies, wipes and baby food. They did not sell baby milk.
- There is a doctors surgery close by, with English speaking medical staff. It was around €100 for a consultation and prescription. The chemist is next door, again with English speaking staff.
- The hotel is not close to the hustle and bustle of Playa de las Americas, it’s around 25 minutes further up the coast. This was ideal for us, but some may find it a little quiet if you are craving a lively night scene! We did rent a car for €150 for 4 days from the rental company located underneath the hotel. This was with fully comp insurance and a car seat included!
- The hotel has its own launderette – WIN!

The Hotel staff are great at offering advice! There is a taxi rank close by, or the hotel reception will happily call one for you! There is also a bus stop should you want to use public transport directly outside!
Hotel Allegro Isora – Overall
We found Hotel Allegro Isora a great family friendly option.
The hotel was one of the most ‘instagrammable’ i’ve come across! There weren’t any negatives for us, which is rare. We have actually booked to go back later on this year, which will be the first time we have ever booked to stay at the same resort twice! There are some great deals out there ranging from room only to all inclusive.
TRAVEL MUM SCORE: 5/5
We would happily recommend this resort to anyone! Families with or without children!
