10 Toddler Friendly Holidays Your 2-Year-Old Will Love

Let’s be honest, going on holiday with a toddler isn’t always the relaxing getaway we dream of. But when you find a destination that’s actually designed with little ones in mind, it changes everything. Suddenly, there’s less stress, more giggles, and a lot more memories.
If you’re planning a holiday with your toddler and want somewhere fun, magical, and genuinely enjoyable for you too, here’s our ultimate bucket list of Toddler Friendly Holidays. All are under four hours from the UK, and each one has something that will make your two-year-old’s eyes light up.

1. Gardaland Resort– Lake Garda, Italy
Gardaland is one of Europe’s biggest and most exciting theme parks. What really makes it special for toddlers is Peppa Pig Land. It’s exactly what it sounds like a sweet, colourful world full of gentle rides like a hot air balloon ride, a pirate water adventure, and a cheerful little train. If your little one is Peppa-mad, they’ll be in heaven.
The hotel itself is just a few minutes away from the park and includes a one-day entrance ticket with your stay. There’s a big pool for cooling off, a great buffet restaurant, and a free shuttle to the park too.
Why is this one of our favourite Toddler Friendly Holidays? Peppa Pig Land, Kung Fu Panda Academy, and easy access to everything you need as a parent.

2. Land Of Legends Hotel -Antalya, Turkey
Want to wow your toddler with something completely different? This brand-new hotel is like stepping into a cartoon. Every inch is themed around popular Nickelodeon shows like Paw Patrol, Dora the Explorer and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The rooms are themed too, and there’s loads for little ones, including an indoor soft play area and an aqua park just for them. It’s full board plus, so meals are included, and the whole place is designed with families in mind.
Flights are just over four hours, but once you’re there, you won’t need to leave the resort for anything.

3. Pirates Village – Majorca
This hotel is a toddler’s fantasy brought to life. The entire resort is pirate-themed, with incredible live shows that include acrobatics, lights and even fireworks. It’s fun, energetic, and brilliantly over-the-top.
There’s a splash park on site with a tipping bucket, sunken pirate ship and shallow water play areas. The “Pirates Tavern” buffet restaurant continues the theme, and going all inclusive means one less thing to worry about during your stay.
If your little one loves pretend play and dressing up, this is the one to beat.

4. Melia Cala Galdana-Menorca
Looking for a beach break that’s a bit more low-key? This Menorcan hotel is right next to Cala Galdana beach, often described as one of the best in Europe. It’s perfect for toddlers. Think soft white sand, pine trees for shade, and shallow water that’s ideal for safe paddling.
The hotel is modern and stylish but still very family-friendly. There are kids’ clubs for under-fours, outdoor play areas and four restaurants to choose from.
This is a great option if you’re after a peaceful getaway with plenty of natural beauty.

5.Hotel Caribe – Costa Dorada, Spain
Planning your toddler’s first theme park trip? Hotel Caribe is a brilliant base for exploring PortAventura World. You’ll get unlimited access to the theme park and one day at Ferrari Land included in your stay.
The big highlight for toddlers is SésamoAventura, a colourful area themed around Sesame Street. There are interactive shows, gentle rides and even a toddler-friendly rollercoaster.
The hotel itself has a relaxed Caribbean vibe and its very own artificial beach, which is perfect for a mid-afternoon nap in the sun.

6. Magic Natura Animal, Waterpark Resort -Benidorm, Spain
Want to give your little one a safari experience without leaving Europe? This unique resort includes access to both a zoo and a water park. Terra Natura is home to over 1,500 animals, including elephants, giraffes, and tigers, while Aqua Natura has dedicated areas just for younger children.
You’ll stay in a safari-style lodge, some of which even overlook the animal enclosures. It’s a real adventure and completely different from your typical beach holiday.
It’s also great value for families, with all-inclusive options and loads of outdoor space.

7. Insotel Punta Prima Resort -Menorca
This hotel is perfect for water-loving toddlers. The Insi Splash Park is the big draw, with two separate toddler-friendly areas. One has fountains, water cannons and tipping buckets, and the other has mini slides and even a mini lighthouse.
There are also indoor and outdoor play areas, a kids’ club, and regular entertainment for all ages. The hotel has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes travelling with little ones a lot easier.
Menorca is also one of the shortest flight times from the UK, which is ideal when travelling with young kids.

8. Aquashow Park Hotel-Algarve, Portugal
This Algarve hotel is all about fun in the water. It’s located right next to the Aquashow Waterpark and Theme Park, and entrance to both is included in your stay. There’s a lazy river, toddler pool, wave pool, and mini rides designed just for little ones.
The hotel itself is colourful and modern, with a big focus on families. The location is just a short drive from Faro Airport, so you’ll be poolside in no time after you land.
If your little one loves splashing, paddling and water slides, this is a solid choice.

9. Iberostar Cala Domingo -Majorca
If you’re after somewhere peaceful but still fun, Iberostar Cala Domingos might be just what you’re looking for. It sits right next to a lovely sheltered beach, perfect for toddler paddling and sandcastle building.
There’s a splash park at the hotel with fountains, tipping buckets and mini slides, as well as an all-inclusive dining plan that means you won’t need to worry about meals.
It’s a great option if you want plenty of toddler-friendly activities but also some space to relax as a family.

10. Bahia Principe Fantasia Resort -Tenerife
This one is straight out of a storybook. The hotel is built around a giant fairytale-style castle, which becomes the centrepiece for live entertainment in the evenings. There’s music, dancing, and magical light shows that toddlers absolutely love.
There’s also a baby splash park with jets and sprinklers, as well as multiple restaurants and pools. The all-inclusive plan includes à la carte restaurants, which is a nice bonus if you fancy a change from the buffet now and then.
The hotel has a luxury feel, but it’s very family-oriented and welcoming for young children. Great for a Toddler Friendly Holiday.

Travelling with toddlers doesn’t have to be stressful. These Toddler Friendly Holidays are packed with fun for little ones and convenience for parents, which is really the dream combination. Whether your child loves Peppa Pig, pirates, animals or just splashing in the pool, there’s a destination here that they’ll never forget.
All of these spots offer something a little bit special, whether it’s themed rooms, castles, safari views or beachside calm. And best of all, they’re all within a few hours’ reach of the UK, so you don’t need to brave a long-haul flight.

Unpopular opinion - but babies aren’t the worst encounter you could have in upper class….
I feel like I am on my own when I say this, but upper/business class is very overrated. People told me I’d never want to go back to economy, but luckily for me, I’m much more of an economy girl at heart. I did another business flight shortly after this in the Q Suite with Qatar, and I got the sh*t’s from their lobster mac and cheese - that was the nail in the coffin for my brief encounter with the boujee life 🫡

The fact I caught him saying this on camera 😭🥰
We managed to visit the Maldives on a budget by staying on local islands as opposed to expensive resort islands. These islands are much cheaper, not only for accommodation but for the day trips too. All of these experiences would have cost a fortune from a resort. A full day renting a boat for our family, seeing dolphins, sharks, sting rays and even lunch was only £160 for us all!

We did this as part of our budget Lapland trip!
(Give us a follow for tons more great travel ideals 🫶🏻)
This stay in itself wasn’t particularly budget, but, the joy of cutting back in all the other areas means things like this become affordable! @lakeinarimobilecabins offers this experience along with lots of other day trips and fun activities.
I have a whole blog post on how we did a week in Lapland for under £3000 (including everything from the clothes we bought to petrol!)
