Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks | Top 10
Planning a family holiday to Spain with a toddler in tow? Finding the right hotel can make or break your trip. Parents know that happy toddlers mean a much smoother holiday, and one of the best ways to keep little ones entertained is by choosing a hotel with its very own toddler splash park.
Imagine colourful fountains, mini slides, and shallow pools designed just for little legs, all right on your hotel’s doorstep. No stressful trips to crowded waterparks. No worrying about deep pools. Just hours of safe, splashy fun while you relax nearby.
The good news is that Spain has some incredible family-friendly hotels with toddler splash parks. From pirate-themed resorts and beachfront hotels to stays that include theme park tickets, there’s something to suit every family and budget. In this guide, I’ve rounded up 10 of the best hotels in Spain with splash parks. These are places where little ones can splash, climb and play safely while parents enjoy a well-earned break in the sun.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 1: Estival Torrequebrada & Aqualand Waterpark, Costa del Sol
This one really stood out to me because you get two splash experiences in one holiday. The hotel itself has a toddler-friendly splash park with small slides, palm fountains, and a tipping bucket that kept my son squealing every time it dumped water on his head. It’s gentle, colourful, and right on site which is ideal for lazy days when you just want to relax.
The real bonus is that you also get up to 9 days of free entry to Aqualand Torremolinos. Now that might sound daunting if you’re travelling with toddlers, but don’t worry. Aqualand has a brilliant Kidzworld section that is all about little ones, with mini slides and splashy fun in shallow water.
Food-wise, the hotel is All Inclusive Plus which means lots of choice and less stress at mealtimes. The main Mediterraneo Restaurant serves family-friendly meals and plenty of chips for fussy eaters, which, let’s be honest, is a lifesaver.
👉 Travel Mum tip: I’d use the Aqualand passes every other day. That way toddlers don’t get overtired and you can balance big days out with chilled splash park days by the pool.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 2: Holiday World RIWO Hotel, Costa del Sol
This is a fantastic choice if you’ve got toddlers and older kids to entertain. Staying here gives you unlimited entry to the nearby Beach Club which is basically a mini waterpark of its own. There’s a free shuttle bus too so no long walks with pushchairs in the heat.
The Beach Club has pirate ships, dinghy rides, waterfalls, and even a giant elephant model that sprays water. Toddlers will be in their element. Back at the hotel, the rooms are bright and modern and the family rooms sleep up to six which is perfect if you’re travelling with grandparents or friends.
I also love that there are both indoor and outdoor play areas. On our last trip to Spain, having an indoor soft play was a lifesaver when it got too hot outside. Sometimes toddlers just need a shaded space to play without overheating.
👉 Travel Mum tip: Don’t miss the show cooking at the Beach Club Restaurant. Little ones are mesmerised watching food made right in front of them.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 3: Magic Pirates Island Resort, Costa Blanca
This brand-new hotel which opened in summer 2025, is basically a dream for pirate-obsessed toddlers. The whole place is themed, with a giant ghostly galleon splash park complete with slides and fountains. My son would lose his mind here. He’s currently at the stage where he turns every stick into a “pirate sword.”
Meals are fun too, with themed restaurants like The 7 Seas Buffet and The Captain’s Table. If you’ve ever tried to get a toddler to sit through a restaurant meal, you’ll know how much easier it is when there’s something exciting to look at.
And the cherry on top? Unlimited entry to Aqua Natura Waterpark, which has fab toddler play zones, and Terra Natura Animal Park where you can see tigers, rhinos, and monkeys. It’s incredible value and you’re basically getting two attractions included.
👉 Travel Mum tip: Bring a toddler carrier for Terra Natura. It’s big, and little legs will tire quickly, but you won’t want to miss the animals.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 4: Sol Marbella Estepona Atalaya Park, Costa del Sol
This one ticks so many boxes. First off, it’s right on the beach. So you can swap between sandcastle building and splash park fun in a matter of minutes. The toddler splash park itself is shallow, bright, and safe, with mini slides and fountains that toddlers love.
There’s also a Katmandu Adventures play area which is themed with friendly yetis. It’s great when hotels go that extra step to make playtime magical, not just practical.
👉 Travel Mum tip: Take a little beach tent or sunshade. It makes nap times on the beach so much easier while older kids keep playing.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 5: Magic Robin Hood, Costa Blanca
If you want an action-packed family holiday, this is it. Magic Robin Hood is themed around Sherwood Forest and it’s brilliant for children of all ages. The splash park has mini slides and tipping buckets for little ones, while bigger kids can enjoy snake-shaped slides and racer chutes.
The accommodation is fun too. You can stay in rooms inspired by Sherwood Forest and the main restaurant looks like a medieval castle. My little boy would be so excited to eat dinner “in a castle with chandeliers.”
But it’s not just about water play here. There’s a climbing wall, rope courses, archery, and even a skate park. If you’ve got older kids who need to burn energy, this is a fab choice.
👉 Travel Mum tip: Pack water shoes. The ground can get hot in the Spanish sun, and they’re perfect for splash zones and playgrounds.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 6: Globales Los Patos Park, Costa del Sol
This hotel is a real favourite among families because of its on-site splash park. It’s divided into two sections. One with bigger slides built into a rock face, and another designed just for toddlers. That toddler area has a pirate ship, fountains, and even a dragon. It feels like something out of a storybook.
You’re also just 200m from the beach which is ideal when you fancy a change of scenery.
👉 Travel Mum tip: This hotel has a pirate-themed kids’ club with arts and crafts, drama, and games. Great for giving yourself a well-deserved coffee break while the little ones play.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 7: Occidental Torremolinos Playa, Costa del Sol
This is a stylish option if you like a modern fresh hotel. The nautical-themed rooms are airy and bright and there are large family options, some even sleep up to 8.
The splash park is perfect for toddlers with shallow water, fountains, and mini slides. Parents will love the huge lagoon pool and the choice of restaurants including an a la carte option if you fancy something a bit special.
👉 Travel Mum tip: If you’re travelling with extended family, book one of the garden family rooms. It gives you a private outdoor space where toddlers can potter about while you enjoy a glass of wine.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 8: Iberostar Waves Malaga Playa, Costa del Sol
This one is really pretty, with its pastel yellow and terracotta design inspired by Andalusian palaces. It’s the kind of place you’ll actually want in your holiday photos.
The toddler splash park is fab, with lots of bridges, arches, and tipping buckets, all set in shallow water. Plus, Iberostar hotels have brilliant kids’ clubs split into different age groups so even toddlers can get involved.
And did I mention it’s right on the beach? That’s a big win in my book.
👉 Travel Mum tip: Take advantage of Iberostar’s kids’ clubs for an hour or two. It gives you time to actually lie by the pool with a book (or just scroll Instagram in peace).
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 9: Hotel Best Triton, Costa del Sol
If your toddler loves pirates, this hotel’s splash park will be a hit. There’s a pirate ship, mini slides, and even a big octopus character that my son would absolutely adore. It’s one of those places where you can just imagine them running from one fountain to the next, shrieking with excitement.
The location is spot-on too. It’s right on the beachfront, so you can wander down for sandcastle building in the mornings and then head back for splash park fun in the afternoons. The views over the Marina are stunning, especially at sunset.
Inside, the hotel has a clean, modern style that feels fresh but still comfortable for families. And a big win for me is that there are both indoor and outdoor play areas. On really hot days, indoor soft play is a godsend. We’ve had so many times where we’ve had to duck out of the midday sun, and having somewhere safe and fun indoors is such a relief.
👉 Travel Mum tip: This is a great one if you’re travelling with little ones who still nap. You can easily pop back to your room in the afternoon without feeling like you’re missing out on the action, since everything is right there.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks Option 10: H10 Mediterranean Village & PortAventura Theme Park, Costa Dorada
This hotel is a bit of a showstopper because you’re not just getting a hotel stay, you’re getting a whole package of entertainment bundled in. On site, the toddler splash park is jungle-themed, with chutes, mini slides, and a fountain splash zone that’s perfect for babies and toddlers. It’s shaded too, which is always something I look for when travelling with little ones.
But here’s where it gets exciting. Stays at this hotel include 3-day tickets to PortAventura World and Ferrari Land. That means you can break up your week with proper theme park fun. I know theme parks can feel overwhelming with toddlers, but PortAventura has a whole area called SesamoAventura that’s designed around Sesame Street. Think bright rides, colourful shows, and gentle attractions that little ones can enjoy safely. My son is obsessed with Elmo at the moment, so this would blow his mind.
Ferrari Land has rides too, but for families it’s the mini-car tracks and the smaller rides that are a big hit. The older kids in your group will love it, but there’s plenty for the younger ones as well.
And don’t forget, the hotel itself has kids’ clubs and even an indoor soft play, so when you’re not adventuring, you’ve still got loads to keep little ones entertained.
👉 Travel Mum tip:
Plan your theme park days carefully. Go early in the morning when it’s cooler and toddlers are at their happiest. Head back to the hotel after lunch for naps and splash park fun, then return to the park in the evening when it’s quieter.
Hotels in Spain with Splash Parks: Final Thoughts
I honestly think that once you’ve stayed in a hotel with a toddler splash park, you’ll never go back. It just makes everything so much easier. Toddlers don’t have to wait around for big kids to get off the slides, you don’t have to worry about deep pools, and you can actually relax a bit while they play. For me, it means I get to enjoy a coffee by the pool while watching my son giggle his way through fountains and mini slides. That’s the kind of simple joy that makes a family holiday feel special.
Spain is such a wonderful destination for families too. The flight times are manageable with little ones, the weather is reliable, and the hotels really do cater for children. Whether you want the pirate thrills of Magic Pirates Island, the beachfront calm of Sol Marbella Estepona, or the full theme park package at H10 Mediterranean Village, there’s something here for every kind of family.
Our Favourite Pick
If I had to pick my personal favourite, it would probably be the Globales Los Patos Park. The separate toddler section feels safe and fun, and I know my son would absolutely love the dragon and pirate ship. But if you’ve got older kids to think about too, the Magic Robin Hood resort looks incredible. It’s got something for everyone, and I can see us going there when my little one is a bit older.
The great thing is, whatever hotel you choose, you can feel confident that your toddler will have a blast. And when toddlers are happy, parents get a bit of a breather too.
So now it’s just about choosing. Do you fancy a pirate adventure, a beachfront retreat, or a hotel with theme park tickets thrown in? Whichever you go for, I promise you’ll come home with a phone full of splashy, smiley photos and memories you’ll treasure forever.
Happy travels, and here’s to many splash-tastic holidays ahead!

Ksamil is a town on the Albanian Riviera and has had some very mixed reviews over the years, and I think a lot of that comes down to when you visit.
We absolutely loved our trip. It was incredibly affordable too - we paid £190 for six nights in an apartment that slept five! (This was in 2023) I’ve written a full blog post about the trip over on the website, where I’ve shared some great-value accommodation options and tips if you’re thinking about booking something similar.
Comment BLOG and I’ll send you the link along with some cheap flights and info on how to get there!
Expect things like:
🍻 £1.50 pints
🦐 Seafood dishes for under £10
☀️ Beautiful, crystal-clear beaches
We visited in May, when there were very few other people around. The town was just starting to open up for the season, the weather was lovely, and it felt relaxed and easy to enjoy.
June also seems like a great time to visit – a few more things open, but still without the peak summer crowds.
July and August appear to be a very different experience. The town is quite small, and it struggles to cope with the number of visitors in peak season. It can feel very crowded, and prices - particularly for things like sun loungers - can become very steep because of the demand.
So if Ksamil is on your list, timing really is everything!
