Eden Villas and Apartments, Albufeira: An Honest Family Review 2025
Eden Villas and Apartments, Albufeira: An Honest Family Review 2025
Eden Villas and Apartments – The Basics
The Eden Villas and Apartments resort sits just over a mile outside of Albufeira Old Town. It is made up of charming, pastel-coloured accommodation, ranging from cosy one-bedroom apartments to spacious eight-bedroom villas.
It’s an ideal choice for larger families or multi-generational groups who want the comfort of their own space while still enjoying the perks of a full-service resort.
Eden Villas and Apartments – Accommodation
Eden offers a range of 1-3 bedroom apartments, ideal for all sizes of family. The villas sleep up to 8 guests and all villas and apartments come equipped with:
- Full kitchens (dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave)
- Air conditioning and Wi-Fi
- Private terraces and generous living areas
We stayed in a freshly refurbished two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at Eden Villas and Apartments that comfortably sleeps up to six. The layout was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable beds and full-sized bathtubs in both bathrooms, a real bonus when travelling with children.
Eden Villas and Apartments – Pool Areas
Eden Villas and Apartments offers three distinct pool areas, each designed with families in mind. The lively family pool is the heart of the action, with music and entertainment running throughout the day, perfect for those who love a bit of atmosphere around the pool. Younger guests will adore the splash park, which is aimed at children up to 12. It features a giant tipping bucket, a bouncy pillow to slide down, and a pirate ship complete with a slide, ideal for hours of imaginative play. For parents there is a quiet adult only pool which is lovely of you have time to nip off for a quick swim.
For beach days there is a complimentary shuttle bus to Albufeira Old Town and nearby beaches, making it easy to explore without the hassle.
Entertainment
For the Kids:
The Kids Club at Eden Villas and Apartments is a standout feature, I had read glowing reviews from families before our holiday and can now say I completely agree. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely brilliant with children. Activities ranged from gymnastics and football to creative sessions filled with crafts and dancing, there’s something to suit every personality and age.
Be prepared for your children to fall in love with the mascots Eddie and Luca. They make appearances everyday at breakfast between 9.30am – 10.00am and make sure they visit all the tables, interact with the children and take the time to take photos.
For Teens and Adults:
For adults and older children, the resort offers a packed daily programme of activities designed to keep everyone entertained. From morning yoga sessions and lively games of water polo to friendly rounds of darts.
In the evening, they have a circus on site with entertainment a few nights of the week and there is also often live music in the main bar. Twice a week they have inflatables and electric cars on the tennis courts which children can use for €10 for 30 mins.
They also run a mini disco in the kids club twice a week. Once a week in peak season there is a fire show around the main pool!
Food and Drinks
We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, and the food exceeded all expectations. The buffet restaurant served breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Each meal offered plenty of variety and consistently high quality. In particular, the BBQ nights, held three times a week, were a highlight. The grilled meats and fresh sides stood out as some of the best we’ve had on an all-inclusive holiday.
For families, the children’s options were both reliable and reassuring. Each day featured favourites like margherita pizza, bolognese, chicken nuggets, and chips. These choices were ideal for picky eaters or those who preferred routine. Moreover, the quality of the meat and fish impressed us. There was always a generous spread of salads, pastas, and sides to suit every taste.
The restaurant staff at Eden Villas and Apartments were exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. A particularly thoughtful touch was the table-side drink service. This small detail made meals feel more relaxed and less like a typical buffet experience.
Meanwhile, the pool bar food was just as impressive. Guests could choose from cold options like salad pots, fresh fruit, rolls, and cakes. In addition, there were hot items such as burgers, chips, nuggets, and fish fingers. These were perfect for a casual bite between swims.
Finally, the drinks menu was well-stocked. It included mostly branded options and a good variety of cocktails served throughout the day.
Albufeira Old Town
I’ve visited Albufeira Old Town several times over the years, though not recently, so I was genuinely delighted to find that much of its original charm remains intact. The Tunnel Beach side – where Eden Resort’s shuttle drops you off – still boasts cobbled streets, traditional Portuguese architecture, and a lovely mix of boutiques, cafés, and restaurants.
One of the highlights is the tunnel leading to Tunnel Beach, where you’re greeted with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the perfect spot to pause for lunch, a coffee, or a scoop of ice cream while soaking up the scenery.
Although Eden Villas and Apartments runs a shuttle service to the Old Town, we never quite timed it right. Instead, we opted for Uber, which was incredibly convenient – rides arrived within five minutes and cost just €3.85 for a four-seater. The journey takes around five minutes, making it a quick and easy way to explore this charming part of Albufeira.
Other things to do near by
There are also some great family days out near to Eden Villas and Apartments.
Zoo Marine is great for all the family with rides, animal shows and swimming. Arrive early to grab a sunbed or cabana (there is a small fee for these).
Slide and Splash is also a great day out with for families with children of all ages.
Eden Villas and Apartments: Overall
Eden Villas and Apartments is a fabulous resort for:
Families with children who enjoy all the perks of lots of children’s activities and entertainment, larger families who enjoy spacious villa accommodation but with the perks of being on a resort and for those families who want a peaceful base to explore the Algarve, but with some pool days in between.
The only one negative I had during my whole stay that the main pool was busy and so you needed to be organised in the mornings if you were having a pool day. HOWEVER, I did raise this with the General Manager and he reassured me of his plans for 2026 and therefore I am hopeful any shortage of sunbeds will be rectified by next year (2026)!
We would definitely return to this hotel for a family holiday!
My Travel Mum score is therefore 4.5/5

What do you think of the new hair?! Should I stick to being a scraggy mess? 🙃😅
If my mum could see this she’d laugh, and be glad I’ve sorted my hair out ❤️
