Newport Bay Club Eurodisney: An Honest Family Review
Visiting Newport Bay Club Eurodisney
Hey Disney friends!
Let’s talk about one of our most magical stays yet – Newport Bay Club at Eurodisney. We visited in June 2025 for two dreamy nights. This trip was extra special-a double celebration! My best friend’s hen do and my daughter finishing her GCSEs. So naturally, we had to do it in style. We chose a hotel that was new to us and went all-out with an upgrade to Compass Club. Spoiler: totally worth it.
With the June sunshine (and a surprise heatwave), I was so glad we picked a hotel with an outdoor pool and just a short walk from the parks. So, was it magical? Let’s dive in!
First Impressions: Newport Bay Club Vibes
If you’re after that dreamy mix of Disney magic meets coastal calm, Newport Bay Club ticks all the boxes. Think: classic New England vibes – big open spaces, bright and breezy rooms, and nautical Disney touches everywhere. Honestly, it felt like we were on a seaside escape… just with Mickey around the corner.
Set right on Lake Disney, the hotel’s views are chef’s kiss. Whether you’re sipping a coffee by the water or watching the sunset after a long park day, it’s just so peaceful.
Rooms at Newport Bay Club Eurodisney: Nautical Meets Disney Magic
There are over 1,000 rooms here, all with that signature blue-and-white nautical charm and a subtle sprinkle of Disney. We stayed in a Compass Club room and it was a total treat.
Here’s a quick room breakdown (because choosing the right one can be a thing!):
- Families of 4? You’ll love the double-double rooms.
- Got 5? Go for a Superior room with a sofa bed for a younger child.
- Travelling with 6? Compass Club rooms with sofa beds have you covered.
- Couple’s getaway? Compass Club has cosy double rooms too.
Need space? You can even request interconnecting rooms ahead of time. Our room had two double beds, loads of plug sockets (yes, even a UK one), a LavAzza coffee machine, kettle, fridge, and a bathroom with alllll the mini Disney goodies (yes, we took them home, obviously). There was also a separate changing area and plenty of space to unpack.
Newport Bay Compass Club : What’s it all About?
So glad you asked! Compass Club gave us:
- A private check-in area (so handy when reception is packed)
- A calm, stylish lounge for breakfast and afternoon snacks
- Little luxuries like turn-down service and a concierge desk
- Hot/cold buffet breakfast and the cutest afternoon treats (hello, pastries and mini rolls!)
We really appreciated the chilled vibe of the lounge, especially compared to the hectic main breakfast areas.
What is the food like?
Here’s what the hotel offers if you’re dining in:
Cape Cod Restaurant – Buffet style, lots of seafood, salads, meats.
Yacht Club Restaurant – A bit fancier, with French-inspired dishes.
Both serve buffet breakfasts too (if you don’t have Compass Club). Just a heads-up – book ahead via the app, especially if you’re set on dining here.
There’s also Captain’s Quarters Bar, which is perfect for a relaxing cocktail or coffee with a view of the lake.
(P.S. We didn’t eat at the restaurants – one picky teen and one seafood-phobic mum here – but the menus looked lush if seafood’s your thing.)
Newport Bay Club: Pool Scene
Hot day? The outdoor pool is an absolute godsend. The girls loved splashing around, and the inside pool has sprinklers, jacuzzis, and more chill spots to unwind.
There’s even a Captain’s Corner play area for little ones and a TV with Disney shows near reception. And guess what? The Fab Five make appearances in the lobby – decked out in adorable sailor outfits. There’s a cute boutique that sells all your Disney wants and a few essentials you may have forgotten.
Newport Bay Club Eurodisney: Perfect Location
The hotel’s just a 15-minute walk to the parks (a lovely stroll around the lake and through Disney Village). Prefer wheels? There’s a free shuttle bus every 12 minutes.
Even better? You get Early Magic Time – a whole hour in the parks before everyone else. We managed 4 rides on Hyper Space Mountain in half an hour. Don’t miss this!
Tips for Newport Bay Club
- Check in early and leave your bags at the concierge – go straight to the park!
- Compass Club? Use the private check-in (so much quicker).
- You’ll get a text when your room’s ready.
- Book dinner ahead via the Disneyland Paris app.
- Character meets happen in the afternoon – queues start about 30 mins before.
- Request a room away from the lifts – ours had a wind-whistling sound that was slightly annoying.
- Walk to the parks in the morning. It’s scenic, shorter security, and you can grab a coffee en route.
- Taking the shuttle to the park? Once at security go left side = Studios, right side = Disneyland Park.
Security tip: Have bags open and pockets empty to speed things up. If you’ve got a pushchair, make sure it’s cleared underneath before you queue.
Final Thoughts: Would We Stay Again?
Absolutely. We loved it.
Yes, the main reception was a bit of a zoo at times, and even Compass Club reception got busy occasionally (thanks, character meet-and-greets!). And sure, the lift next to our room howled like a banshee—but hey, we’ll know to ask for a quieter spot next time.
Highlights?
- Spacious room with all the little comforts we needed
- Peaceful breakfast and afternoon snacks in the Compass Club lounge
- The outdoor pool was a hit with the girls
- Beautiful lake views and easy walk to the parks
If you want a stay that feels a little more luxurious but still full of Disney magic, New Port Bay Club—especially Compass Club—is a fabulous choice. I paid an extra £200 choosing Compass Club over the standard room. In total, for a 2 nights stay and park tickets for 2 adults and 2 teenagers it cost £1346. We flew with British Airways from Heathrow, London into Charles De Gaulle, Paris. We then took the train (10 minute walk from arrivals to the station, which is all in 1 building) straight to Marne-la-Vallee, Chessy (this is the train station right outside Disneyland Paris). The train took 10 minutes and was the quickest way to get to Disneyland Paris. You could get a private transfer, where you’ll be collected at arrivals and driven direct to your hotel. Don’t forget to book your airport parking before you travel.
Now… where to stay next?!
