Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey – An Honest Family Review 2026
Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey – An Honest Family Review 2025
If you’re searching for a family-friendly hotel in Turkey, you’ve probably come across the Eftalia hotels in the Alanya region. The group has several resorts known for brilliant pool areas and water slides, making them ideal for families and groups with children of all ages.
We spent seven nights at Eftalia Splash Hotel in July with seven adults and four children (aged 2–9) for a surprise birthday trip. With water slides, all-inclusive dining, and access to the popular Eftalia Island beach complex, it’s often recommended for families. Here’s our honest review of Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey, including what we loved, what could be improved, and helpful tips for your stay.
Getting There
Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey sits in Alanya, around 90 km from Antalya Airport. We booked a package with EasyJet for approximately £800pp and flew direct from Edinburgh at 2pm, which worked well for our group, especially those travelling from Aberdeen and Glasgow.
The flight from Edinburgh to Antalya takes roughly 4 hours and 30 minutes. Bring plenty of snacks and activities for little ones. Our flight ran smoothly, and the crew even invited the kids to see the cockpit at the start – a lovely touch.
From Antalya Airport, the standard coach transfer takes around three hours. However, after a long day travelling, we booked a private transfer with Sun Transfers. It took only 1.5 hours and cost €150 for our whole group. The complimentary drinks made the late-night journey much easier.
Our Room at Eftalia Splash Resort Alanya
Our group booked three standard rooms, two of which were conveniently side-by-side. The rooms at Eftalia Splash are simple but family-focused, offering a double bed and two single beds, plus air-conditioning, a fridge, and a balcony. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily and provided fresh towels.
The hotel also offers large standard rooms and accessible rooms. Families of up to six can choose a family room, which includes two double beds, two single beds, and a separate living area.
Overall, the rooms were modern, clean, and ideal for a family holiday.
The Pool Area At Eftalia Splash Resort Alanya
We travelled with four children aged 2-9, and they all loved the pool facilities. Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey offers options for every age group:
-
A fantastic kids’ splash pool with mini-slides, jets, and sprinklers
-
A large main pool with a shallow baby pool nearby
-
Three smaller slides for younger children
-
A range of larger slides for older kids and adults
The variety allowed all the children to play safely together or enjoy activities suited to their age, always with an adult close by.
Beyond the pools, the complex includes a playground, kids’ club, football court, and an evening arcade (extra cost). The arcade sits next to the main entertainment stage and was a huge hit with our group.
Eftalia Island Beach Complex
The highlight of our holiday was the free access to Eftalia Island, just a short shuttle ride or ten-minute walk from the hotel. The beachfront complex offers plenty of activities for thrill-seekers.
The water park includes 14 huge adult slides such as Boomerang, Kamikaze and Black Hole, plus two children’s pools with different themes and a lazy river. Even though we visited in the afternoon, we still found sun loungers and the area didn’t feel overcrowded.
You can also return in the evening for entertainment, including a foam party. As part of the all-inclusive package, selected bars and the main food hall offer free food and drinks. There are also extra bars, restaurants, and even a Starbucks available to purchase from.
All-Inclusive Food & Drink at Eftalia Splash
The all-inclusive package offered plenty of variety. The buffet included a salad bar, a rotisserie, and BBQ options on selected nights. Even with fussy eaters in the group, everyone found something they enjoyed. Snacks were available throughout the day, so no one went hungry.
Breakfast
- Main restaurant (7–10am): hot and cold buffet
- Burgerland (10–11am): limited late-breakfast options
Lunch
- Snack bar (from 12pm): pizza, chips, daily dishes, plus waffles
- Main restaurant (12:30–2pm): full buffet
Dinner
-
Main restaurant (7–9pm): varied dishes every evening
Extras
- Free ice cream (2–4pm) at the pool bar
- Main bar open until 3am
- A cocktail hut by the main pool
Things To Do Near Eftalia Splash Resort Alanya
Although lounging by the pool is tempting, the Alanya region is stunning and well worth exploring. Travelling from Eftalia Splash to Alanya Centre takes around 20–30 minutes. You can hop on the local bus near Eftalia Island for less than £1 per person, or take a taxi for £30–40.
Here are my top three things to do:
1. Alanya Cable Car
The cable car starts near Damlataş Beach and ends high above Alanya Castle, offering incredible coastal views. A round-trip ticket costs around 200 TL.
2. Jeep Safari Adventure
This was a brilliant day out. You set off from your hotel and travel by 4×4 into the Taurus Mountains, passing waterfalls, rivers, and small villages. Tours usually cost €20–€25 for adults, with lower prices for children.
3. Dinner With a View
Panoramic restaurants overlook the city, both day and night. We visited Kale Panoramic Restaurant and loved both the setting and food. Although it’s slightly more expensive, it cost about the same as dining near the hotel.
Top Tip: Many restaurants in the centre offer free pick-up and drop-off if you book a meal. Always ask — it’s a comfortable and cost-free way to travel.
Where Can I book Eftalia Hotel Resort Alanya?
I recommend checking several providers to compare prices. We booked through EasyJet for around £800pp for a seven-night all-inclusive stay. There are multiple Eftalia Resorts in the area, all of which have good reviews, you can check them out below. Since multiple Eftalia resorts sit near each other, make sure you know the exact name of your hotel when booking taxis.
Eftalia Splash Resort Turkey – Final Verdict
Eftalia Splash was a brilliant choice for our large family group. It offered something for everyone and allowed each of us to enjoy the holiday in our own way.
Travel Mum Score: 4 out of 5
We loved the relaxed atmosphere, amazing pool setup, and the chance to explore beautiful Alanya.

Ksamil is a town on the Albanian Riviera and has had some very mixed reviews over the years, and I think a lot of that comes down to when you visit.
We absolutely loved our trip. It was incredibly affordable too - we paid £190 for six nights in an apartment that slept five! (This was in 2023) I’ve written a full blog post about the trip over on the website, where I’ve shared some great-value accommodation options and tips if you’re thinking about booking something similar.
Comment BLOG and I’ll send you the link along with some cheap flights and info on how to get there!
Expect things like:
🍻 £1.50 pints
🦐 Seafood dishes for under £10
☀️ Beautiful, crystal-clear beaches
We visited in May, when there were very few other people around. The town was just starting to open up for the season, the weather was lovely, and it felt relaxed and easy to enjoy.
June also seems like a great time to visit – a few more things open, but still without the peak summer crowds.
July and August appear to be a very different experience. The town is quite small, and it struggles to cope with the number of visitors in peak season. It can feel very crowded, and prices - particularly for things like sun loungers - can become very steep because of the demand.
So if Ksamil is on your list, timing really is everything!
