Best Family Hotels in Greece with Waterparks – A 2026 Guide

If you’re searching for the best family hotels in Greece with waterparks, you’re absolutely in the right place.

A hotel with waterslides can turn a standard sunshine holiday into the kind of trip your kids talk about for years. The moment they spot lazy rivers, splash parks and giant slides… that’s it excitement levels go through the roof and might give you a few moments to actually relax on holiday.

The good news is Greece is packed with family-friendly waterpark hotels, from luxury 5-star all-inclusive resorts to great value options that still deliver on fun.

With short flights from the UK, reliable sunshine and genuinely welcoming resorts, it’s one of the easiest wins for a family holiday.

This blog brings together the best family hotels in Greece with waterparks, grouped by island to make things simple whether you’ve got toddlers, teens or a bit of both.

Crete

Best Family Hotels in Greece for Big Waterparks

Crete is usually the first place I recommend to families especially if waterparks are top of your list. It has some of the biggest and best family hotels in Greece with waterparks, and the resorts here are really set up with families in mind.

It’s also one of the easiest islands to travel around, with short-ish transfers from Heraklion or Chania airport and lots of lovely places to explore.

Weather in Crete:

  • May half term: around 24-26°C
  • Summer holidays: 28-32°C
  • October Half Term: around – 23-24°C

So you’re pretty much guaranteed proper pool weather form May through to October.

Even though with many of these hotels you won’t feel the need to leave, there are lots of fab family activities to do in Crete.

Ā Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort – ££££

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ā

This is one of the best all inclusive family hotels in Greece with a huge waterpark, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular with families.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI prices

The waterpark is a real highlight with big slides, racing lanes, colourful splash areas, and something for every age. It’s one of those rare places where toddlers, younger kids and teens can all be equally happy. The all-inclusive is strong with lots of choice, easy options for picky eaters, and snacks available throughout the day (which makes life so much easier). There’s a good kids club for younger children, and enough activities and entertainment to keep older kids and teens busy too. It’s set in Analipsi, which is a quieter area, but you can still walk out to tavernas, little shops and the beach. If you fancy something livelier, Hersonissos is only a short taxi ride away.

Travel Mum tip: This one books up really quickly for school holidays especially family rooms. So plan ahead and book this one in early.

untitled-design-2025-12-05t172056-559

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stella Village (Next Door to Stella Palace) – £££

This is the clever value option if Stella Palace is too pricey and it’s often overlooked and it’s still one of the best family hotels in Greece. It’s recently been renovated to a high standard.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI prices

You still get access to the same incredible Stella waterpark, but the hotel itself is a little calmer, smaller and more relaxed.

It’s especially good for families with younger children or anyone who wants the slides without the higher price tag or busier feel of Stella Palace.

The simple layout makes life easier with little ones, as everything is close together. The splash areas are perfect for younger kids, featuring smaller slides and shallow pools.

The all-inclusive is straightforward but does the job well, and the atmosphere feels friendly and easy-going rather than overwhelming.

You’re still in Analipsi, so you can head out for a walk, a quiet dinner or an ice cream in the evening if you fancy it.

Travel Mum tip: Think of this as ā€œsame waterpark, calmer base, better valueā€Ā  ideal for toddlers and early primary school age.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nana Royal Resort – ££££ (NEW for 2026)

This is one of the most exciting new luxury best family hotels in Greece, and it’s part of the wider Nana resort area, which is becoming a real hotspot for families looking for a more premium stay with big facilities.

Check TUI Prices

It has a much more modern, high-end feel, with suites and villas designed for families who want a bit more space and comfort than a standard hotel room.

What makes Nana Royal stand out is that it still manages to keep the family-friendly focus, even though it feels more luxurious. You’ve got access to a large waterpark nearby within the complex, plus multiple pools and quiet areas if you want a break from the slides.

This is a really good option for families who want:

  • A slightly more peaceful luxury base
  • Access to big waterpark facilities
  • More space and upgraded accommodation
  • A more relaxed atmosphere than the busier mega-resorts
  • A premium option

It’s not in a walkable town area, so this is very much a resort-style holiday, but everything you need is on site.

Travel Mum tip: Think of this as the more refined version of a waterpark holiday, still fun, still family-focused, just with a calmer, more luxury feel.

screenshot_28-4-2026_145910_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Creta Maris Resort – ££££

This is one of the most complete family-friendly resorts in Crete, and it has a very different feel to the big slide-heavy hotels.

Check Jet2 Prices

It’s designed like a small Greek village, which makes it feel really relaxed and easy to get around especially helpful with kids who don’t want long walks between everything.

There is a small waterpark area, but what really sets Creta Maris apart is everything else. It’s a proper all-round family resort, with:

  • Multiple pools spread across the site
  • Strong kids club and teen activities
  • Sports, games and daily entertainment
  • An outdoor cinema and evening events

So rather than just being about slides, it’s about having loads of choice every day, which works really well for longer stays.

You’re also in a great location near Hersonissos, so it’s easy to walk out for shops, dinner or a change of scene.

Travel Mum tip: This is a brilliant pick if you want variety and space rather than a full-on waterpark focused holiday.

screenshot_29-4-2026_104520_www-mitsis-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort & Spa – ££££

This is now a really strong modern family all-inclusive, especially after its recent upgrades. It’s really competing for a top place in the best family hotels in Greece.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI Prices

The big addition here is the new waterpark and dedicated teen zone, which genuinely changes the feel of the hotel. Older kids and teens now have their own outdoor & Indoor space, which makes a huge difference for families with mixed ages. It’s nice to see that hotels are starting to focus on teens a bit more too. It also offers a football camp in the summer so look out for those dates if you have footie mad kids.

It’s right on a beautiful beachfront, so you’ve got that easy sea-and-pool mix without needing to travel anywhere.

The resort itself feels more modern and polished than some traditional Greek hotels, and the all-inclusive is a step up in quality compared to many standard options.

Location-wise, it’s fairly close to the airport, so transfers are quick, but it’s more of a resort stay as I have personally stayed here and there isn’t too much around the hotel in walking distance.

Travel Mum take: This is a really good option if you’ve got teens or older kids who want independence, but you still want everything in one place. Equally its fab for younger children with a new kids club and splash zone.Ā  It also has quite a few swim up rooms which is always a hit with the kids.

screenshot_29-4-2026_11219_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grecotel Marine Palace & Aqua Park – £££

This is a really lovely family-focused waterpark resort in Crete that often gets overlooked in favour of the bigger names, but it’s actually a very easy and enjoyable option for families.

Check Jet2 Prices

The waterpark is colourful, well-designed and ideal for a variety ofĀ  kids ages. It’s not huge or overly intense, which actually makes it feel more relaxed and manageable. You’re not constantly chasing kids between massive slides.

What people really like here is the overall atmosphere. Everything feels close enough together that you’re not doing loads of walking between meals, pools and rooms. A great selection of restaurants and lots of pools to pick from.

You’re also in the small village of Panormo, which is a real bonus. Unlike some larger resorts, you can actually walk out in the evening to tavernas, ice cream spots and a small beach, which gives you a nice break from the hotel if you want it.

Travel Mum tip: This is a great option if you want a more relaxed, walkable village feel with a gentle waterpark rather than high-energy slides. Great if you want to head out into a local village.

screenshot_29-4-2026_111053_www-tui-co-uk-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nana Golden Beach – ££££

This one is much more of a full family activity resort than just a waterpark hotel, and it works really well if you’ve got a mix of ages and definitely one of the top best family hotels in Greece.

Check TUI Prices

Yes, there are splash areas and smaller slides for younger children and also some big thrilling ones for older kids, but there’s also a much bigger range of facilities than you might expect at first glance.

You’ve got:

  • Multiple pools spread across the resort
  • Waterslides and family-friendly aqua areas
  • A huge range of sports (tennis courts, football, fitness classes)
  • Activities running throughout the day
  • A proper teen-friendly feel, which can be hard to find

It’s also right on the beach, so you can easily mix pool days with beach time, which helps break up the week.

The all-inclusive is solid with plenty of choice. The resort is quite spread out, it never feels too hectic, even in school holidays.

Location wise, you’re near Hersonissos, so you’ve got the option of heading out for a wander, shops or a meal if you want a change from the hotel.

Travel Mum tip: This is a really good option if you’ve got older kids or teens who want more than just slides, but you still want that easy, all-inclusive family setup. Equally there is so much to do for younger children that it really suits all the family.

her_86409_elios_hill_0724_24-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Elios Hill — ££££

This is one to keep an eye on, because it’s clearly still evolving its family offering and is fairly new to the scene, and that’s usually when you get a really good balance of quality and value before it becomes super popular.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI prices

It already has a small waterpark with slides and even a lazy river, so kids definitely get that ā€œwaterpark holidayā€ feel without it being overwhelming.

But where it’s getting more interesting, especially for 2026 is the focus on older kids and teens, which so many hotels still get wrong.

There’s already a dedicated teen room, teen club space, designed as somewhere they can just hang out, chill, use WiFi and socialise away from their little siblings.

From what’s been shared so far, it’s less about structured ā€œkids clubā€ style activities and more about:

  • A cool hangout space with seating and games
  • Areas to socialise and meet other teens
  • Access to sports like the on-site 5-a-side football pitch
  • Animation and evening entertainment they can dip in and out of

So the direction they’re heading in (and what’s likely to expand further this season) is more of a:
ā€œteen-friendly social space + activitiesā€ setup rather than just adding more slides.

There’s also:

  • A lovely kids club setup for younger ones
  • Daily entertainment and shows
  • Open-air theatre and activity areas across the resort

Ā Travel Mum Tip: This resort is up and coming it’s catering properly for all ages, rather than being all about one type of guest. One to watch and book before prices rocket.

screenshot_29-4-2026_11305_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fodele Beach & Water Park Resort – £££

This is one of the more unique waterpark hotels in Crete, and it’s a really fun option if your kids like a bit of adventure built into the day. This has been one of the best family hotel in Greece for a long while.

Check JET2 Prices

The waterpark is set on a hillside overlooking the sea, which already makes it feel a bit different to your standard resort. You reach it via a little on-site train, a big hit with kids and adds to that ā€œholiday experienceā€ feel!

The slides here are more suited to confident swimmers and older children, with a good mix of faster flumes and tunnel slides. However there are still calmer pool areas if you want a break from the action.

The resort itself is quite spread out and built into the hillside, so there is a bit of walking and steps, something worth knowing if you’ve got a pushchair or very tired little ones at the end of the day.

Location wise, you’re in Fodele, a quieter part of Crete. There isn’t a town you can really wander into in the evening, so this is very much a stay-in-the-resort style holiday, which works well if you’re happy with everything on site.

There’s also a lovely sandy beach at the bottom of the resort, so you can easily mix pool days with sea days.

Travel Mum tip: This is a great pick for families who want something a bit different, exciting slides, a unique layout, and a proper ā€œresort experienceā€. The views are amazing based on its hillside location and if you are a beach fan its a great choice.

screenshot_29-4-2026_113615_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gouves Waterpark Holiday Resort – ££

This is a really solid 4 star budget-friendly waterpark hotel in Crete, and it’s popular with families who want slides without stretching the budget too far.

Check Jet2 Prices

It has a relaxed, friendly feel, not super luxury, but very family-focused and easy-going. Everything is fairly simple and close together, which makes it manageable with younger kids.

The waterpark has a mix of slides and pools spread around the resort, so kids can happily move between splash areas and swimming without it feeling too overwhelming or busy. It’s not a huge, high-thrill waterpark like Stella Palace, but it absolutely does the job for a fun week in the sun and has some nice big slides for older ones and an aqua splash tower for younger kids.

One of the nice things about Gouves is the location. You’re in a small resort area where you can actually walk out in the evening, there are tavernas, cafĆ©s and a long beach nearby, so you don’t feel completely ā€œstuck in the hotelā€ if you want a change of scene.

It’s also fairly close to Heraklion airport, so transfers are nice and quick, which is always a bonus with kids.

Travel Mum tip: This is a great value option for families who want a simple, easy waterpark holiday with the option to walk out to local restaurants in the evening.

screenshot_29-4-2026_114642_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Star Beach Village — ££

Star Beach is all about energy and fun. It’s very popular with UK families, especially those with older kids and teens who just want non-stop action. This isn’t a quiet, laid-back resort it’s lively, busy and very entertainment-focused but definitely deserves a place in the best family hotels in Greece.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI Prices

The big draw here is access to Star Beach Water Park, which is more than just slides. You’ve got water activities, beach club vibes, music, foam parties in peak season and loads happening throughout the day. It feels more like a beach club mixed with a waterpark than a traditional hotel setup.

Because of that, it works well for families with older children who want independence and constant activity, rather than toddlers who need quieter pool time. Having said that the hotel offers nice pools and younger kids facilities so it is suited to both.

The hotel itself is simple and functional, you’re not booking this for luxury rooms or gourmet dining, but it’s great for a week where you’re mainly outside enjoying everything going on.

Location-wise, it’s in Hersonissos, which is one of the livelier areas in Crete. That means you’ve got shops, restaurants, bars and more within walking distance, so evenings out are very easy if you want them.

Travel Mum tip: This is perfect if your kids want non-stop action, social vibes and loads going on, and you’re happy with a more lively, less peaceful resort feel.

best family waterpark hotels in Greece

Rhodes

Best Family Hotels in Greece for Lovely beaches

Rhodes is one of those places that just works well for families and has some amazing best family hotels in Greece with waterparks. The beaches are gently shelving (so much easier with kids), and there’s a great mix of all inclusive waterpark hotels and things to do outside the resort.

Most families stay around Faliraki, where you’ve got one of the biggest waterparks in Europe and a long beach perfect for paddling.

Weather in Rhodes:

  • May half term: 25–27°C
  • Summer holidays: 30–34°C
  • October half term 23-24°C

So expect hot, sunny days where you’ll basically live in swi

mwear. There’s also loads you can do if you want to get out and explore:

  • Faliraki Water Park
  • Boat trips along the coast
  • Rhodes Old Town for

a relaxed wander

  • Beach days and watersports
  • Lindos is a beautiful town to visit

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amada Colossos Resort – ££££

This is one of the more modern family waterpark hotels in Rhodes, and it feels a bit more stylish than your average all-inclusive putting firmly into one of the best family hotels in Greece.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI Prices

The waterpark is a proper highlight here, not just a small add-on but it has slides and splash areas split into different zones, so younger kids and older ones aren’t all fighting for the same space.

What families really love though is the beachfront location. You can literally swap between pool, slides and sea without much effort, which makes days so much easier with kids.

There’s a good kids club, entertainment in the evenings, and enough going on that you don’t really need to leave the resort unless you want to. If you do, Faliraki isn’t far for a bit more buzz.

Travel Mum tip: Great all-rounder for all ages if you want a modern feel, beach access and a proper waterpark all in one place.

screenshot_29-4-2026_121543_www-tui-co-uk-2

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atlantica Aegean Blue – ££££

This is a very easy, purpose-built family resort-style hotel, where everything is designed to keep things simple.

The waterpark is a great size, with a mix of big slides and splash areas, but the real strength here is how well everything runs as a full family setup.

Check TUI Prices here

There’s a strong focus on:

  • Kids clubs
  • Daily entertainment
  • Poolside activities
  • Evening shows

So it feels like a proper ā€œholiday villageā€ rather than just a hotel with a waterpark.

There isn’t much within walking distance, so it’s more of a stay-in-the-resort style holiday, but that’s exactly what many families want for an easy week away.

Travel Mum tip: Perfect if you want everything on-site with no thinking required. A bus service runs to Rhodes old town and that’s worth a visit.

screenshot_29-4-2026_122443_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐ Blue Bay Resort – ££

This is one of the more budget-friendly waterpark hotels in Rhodes, and it’s very popular with families who want a straightforward, easy holiday without overthinking it.

Check JET2 Prices Check TUI Prices

The waterpark here isn’t huge but has a great mix of bigger slides with a pirate-themed splash area, that kids tend to love.

The hotel has a fairly simple, traditional feel, but what it does well is keep things easy and family-focused. There’s a relaxed atmosphere, and you don’t get the intensity or crowds that come with some of the larger resorts.

One of the big positives is that it’s right on the beachfront, so you can easily swap between pool time and sea days, which helps break the week up nicely.

Location-wise, you’re not far from Faliraki, so if you want a bit more going on, shops, restaurants and bigger attractions are only a short taxi ride away.

Travel Mum tip: This is a solid value option for families, especially if you want beach + pool + waterpark fun without a luxury price tag.

screenshot_29-4-2026_12383_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐ Olive Garden Hotel – ££

This is one of those great value, slightly under-the-radar family waterpark hotels in Rhodes, and it’s a really good option if you want slides without paying premium prices.

Check JET2 Prices Check TUI Prices

It’s set in Lardos, on the quieter south-east coast of Rhodes, so the whole vibe here is much more relaxed and laid-back compared to the busier Faliraki area.

Now the big plusĀ  it actually has a proper little waterpark on site, which is more than you’d expect for a budget hotel. There are:

  • Waterslides for both kids and adults
  • A lazy river (always a win with kids!)
  • Splash areas and a children’s pool
  • Plus the main pool areas for more chilled time</li>

So while it’s not a huge, headline waterpark, it definitely gives that ā€œslides every dayā€ holiday feel.

The hotel itself is simple but very family-friendly, with a mini club, playground and activities like water polo and tennis to keep everyone busy.

You’re about a 10-minute walk from the beach, which makes it easy to mix things up without needing taxis every day.

There’s also a small town nearby (Lardos village), and you’re not too far from Lindos, which is lovely for a day or evening out if you fancy a change of scene.

Food and rooms are more on the simple side, this isn’t mega luxury but it’s all about value, ease and keeping the kids entertained.

Travel Mum tip: A really solid budget waterpark hotel in Rhodes, great if you want a relaxed setting, decent slides (including a lazy river!) and the option to explore a bit locally without paying 5⭐ prices.

Best family waterpark hotels in Greece

Corfu

Best Family Hotels in Greece for a relaxed, scenic feel

Corfu has a lovely feel, its greener, more laid-back, and a bit less intense than some of the bigger resort islands but packs in some amazing best family hotels in Greece with a waterpark.

It’s a great choice if you want a mix of waterpark fun and a more relaxed, scenic setting.

Weather in Corfu:

  • May half term: 22–25°C
  • Summer holidays: 27–31°C
  • October half term: 21-23°C

Warm, but often a bit more comfortable thanks to the greenery and breeze. There’s plenty to do if you want to explore:

  • Aqualand waterpark
  • Boat trips and hidden beaches
  • Corfu Town for a wander

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐MarBella Mar-Bella Collection– ££££

This is one of the standout luxury family resorts in Corfu, and it really earns its reputation as an all-rounder rather than just a hotel with a few slides. This is one of the top family hotels in Greece.

Check JET2 Prices Check TUI prices

It has a much more polished, ā€œgrown-up but still very family-focusedā€ feel the kind of place where you can genuinely relax while the kids are constantly entertained.

The splash park and pool areas are ideal for younger children, but what really makes MarBella Corfu special is everything happening beyond the water play. There’s a really strong family activity programme, with kids clubs that actually keep children engaged, plus plenty for older kids and teens to dip into rather than just sitting by a pool.

One of the biggest wins here is the location and views. The hotel is set on a hillside overlooking the Ionian Sea, with beautiful scenery everywhere you look. There’s a private beach area at the bottom, which you can reach easily, so you get that lovely mix of pool time and sea days without needing to leave the resort.

There’s also a really good selection of activities for families who don’t want to just stay still all day, watersports, fitness classes, games, and organised entertainment throughout the week.

And if you do fancy getting out and exploring, Corfu is one of the better islands for boat trips and easy excursions. You can head into Corfu Town quite easily for an evening wander, or book boat trips along the coastline to hidden beaches and nearby islands like Paxos, which is one of the most popular family excursions here.

The all-inclusive is a step up from standard, with better food variety and a more premium feel overall, which you really notice on a longer stay.

Travel Mum tip: This is a brilliant choice if you want a proper balance of luxury, family entertainment and relaxation, rather than a full-on waterpark-focused resort. It works especially well for families with mixed ages because there’s something for everyone without it feeling chaotic.

screenshot_29-4-2026_13352_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grecotel LUXE ME Costa Botanica – ££££

This is one of the most unique family resorts in Corfu, and it feels quite different from the typical waterpark hotel. It always gets amazing reviews and is often labelled one of the best family hotels in Greece,Ā  I’m unsure why it’s not 5 stars.

Check Jet2 Prices Check TUI Prices

It’s very spacious and set within nature, with lots of open areas that make it feel more like a village than a resort.

The waterpark is a really strong feature, but the big appeal here is the space and freedom for kids:

  • Bikes and open areas to explore
  • Multiple pools and quiet zones
  • A relaxed, low-pressure feel

It works especially well for families who don’t love crowded or high-energy resorts.

There isn’t a town right outside the door, so it’s more about enjoying the hotel itself rather than walking out for entertainment. The All-Inclusive is a great offering and the beach is stunning here.

Travel Mum tip: Brilliant for families who want space, calm and nature with slides as a bonus and a fantastic dining scene.

screenshot_29-4-2026_132314_www-tui-co-uk

⭐⭐⭐ Aqualand Resort – ££

One of the best-value waterpark hotels in Corfu if you’re trying to keep costs down without losing the fun.

You get unlimited access to a huge waterpark right next door, slides, wave pools, lazy rivers all included, which is where this place really stands out. For families, it means you’re not spending extra every day on activities, and there’s more than enough to keep everyone busy.

The hotel itself is simple but practical. Rooms are spacious (especially for families), food is classic all-inclusive with plenty of choice, and everything is designed to be easy rather than luxurious.

It’s inland and fairly self-contained, but that’s part of the appeal here everything you need is on-site, and the short transfer from the airport makes it an easy, low-stress option.

Travel Mum Tip: If you want a fun, affordable, no-fuss waterpark holiday, this is one of the strongest budget picks in Corfu. There are some age restrictions on the slides so it’s worth checking those out. TUI list these.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aqua Bay Hotel – £££

One of the easier, lower-cost 4 star waterpark options in Zante that still gives you that all-in-one family setup and is a great option when looking for the best family hotels in Greece.

Check TUI Prices

You’ve got a proper waterpark right next door, just a short walk from the hotel. With slides, a lazy river, and kids’ areas and it’s included.

It’s not the biggest or most high-end waterpark in Greece, but for the price, it does the job really well.

The hotel itself is smaller and more laid-back than a lot of the bigger resorts, which can actually be a plus. There are multiple pools dotted around, and some rooms even open straight onto them, which works really well with kids.

Rooms are clean and modern but quite simple, and the overall feel is more ā€œeasy and practicalā€ than luxury. Food is standard all-inclusive, decent variety, nothing standout but everything is set up to be convenient rather than premium.

Location-wise, it’s a bit more flexible than some waterpark hotels, you’re close to Tsilivi and not far from the beach, so you’re not completely stuck on-site the whole time.

Travel Mum tip: A really solid 4 star choice in Zante especially if you want waterpark access without paying premium resort prices.

It has a much more lively holiday village feel. It’s not a quiet, relaxing retreat it’s more about fun, energy and keeping kids busy from morning right through to the evening.

The waterpark is a real highlight here and is actually bigger and busier than you might expect from a mid-range hotel. There are multiple slides for different ages, a lazy river-style area, splash zones and plenty of space for kids to move between pools and activities.

There’s a strong kids club and animation team, and in peak season the entertainment is very much geared towards keeping children involved mini discos, games and evening shows. Older kids and teens tend to enjoy the more independent feel here too, especially with the busier pool areas and slides.

One of the biggest plus points is location. You’re in Kalamaki, which is one of the most family-friendly areas in Zakynthos. It’s flat, easy to walk around and has a relaxed strip of restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. That’s a big bonus in the evenings when you want a change of scenery without needing taxis.

The beach is also within walking distance, and this area is known for being part of the turtle nesting zone, so it feels a bit more special and natural compared to some of the livelier Greek resorts.

Travel Mum tip: This is a great pick if you want a busy, entertainment-led waterpark holiday where kids are constantly occupied and you can easily walk out to shops and restaurants in the evening. It’s not the quietest resort, but it’s one of the most fun and convenient for families in Zante.

Kos

Best Family Hotels in Greece for aĀ small, easy Island

Kos is one of the easiest Greek islands to travel with kids. It’s small, transfers are quick, and everything just feels very manageable.

It’s also got some fab waterpark resorts, so you can keep things simple.

Weather in Kos:

  • May half term: 24–26°C
  • Summer holidays: 28–33°C

Lovely and warm without being overwhelming.

Things to do are nice and easy too:

  • Lido Water Park
  • Kos Town for evenings out
  • Beach days and bike rides

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blue Lagoon Village – ££££

This is one of the more premium, spacious family resorts in Kos, and it feels very different from the busier waterpark hotels you’ll find elsewhere in Greece.

It’s set in a quieter part of the island, which means it really leans into a relaxed, spread-out holiday feel. Nothing feels cramped or chaotic here even in peak summer.

Check TUI prices

The waterpark area is a good size for a hotel resort, but it’s not about big thrill slides. It’s more about giving kids enough to stay entertained while you also enjoy a proper relaxed break.

What families really like here is the space:

  • Multiple pools across the resort
  • Easy access to the beach
  • Plenty of room to spread out
  • A calmer, more ā€œholiday villageā€ feel

There’s not much within walking distance, so this is very much a stay-in-resort type holiday, but that’s exactly what makes it feel peaceful.

The all-inclusive is strong and there’s enough variety that you don’t feel stuck in a routine, even on longer stays.

Travel Mum tip: Best for families who want a quieter luxury feel with just enough waterpark fun, rather than full-on slides and chaos. Some great swim up room options here to make it extra special.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blue Lagoon Resort – £££

This is one of the most popular all-round family waterpark hotels in Kos, and it’s easy to see why.

It’s set up more like a classic family resort, with everything in one place, so you don’t need to think too much about your day (which is often exactly what you want on holiday).

Check TUI Prices

The waterpark area isn’t massive, but it has enough slides and splash zones to keep kids happy all week, especially primary school age children.

What makes this hotel really popular is the balance:

  • Good pools and waterpark areas
  • Strong kids club and daily activities
  • Entertainment in the evenings
  • Easy layout that doesn’t feel overwhelming

It’s also in a good location close enough to Kos Town that you can easily head out for an evening stroll, shops or a relaxed dinner by the harbour.

The beach isn’t far either, so you can mix up pool days with sea days quite easily.

Travel Mum tip: This is a really solid ā€œdo-everything wellā€ family hotel, especially if it’s your first time in Kos and you want something easy and reliable. Great for younger kids but it does also have a few larger slides.

screenshot_15-1-2026_83438_www-jet2holidays-com-1

⭐⭐⭐⭐ White Olive Marine Aquapark – ££

This is one of the best budget-friendly 4 star waterpark hotels in Greece, and it’s very popular with families who want slides without stretching the budget.

Check Jet2 Prices

It has a lively, modern feel, but fun, friendly and very family-focused.

The waterpark is the main highlight here. It’s not huge, but it has:

  • Colourful slides for different ages
  • A splash area for younger children
  • Enough variety to keep kids entertained most of the day

It works particularly well for younger families or primary school-aged kids, where the waterpark doesn’t need to be massive to be exciting.

The hotel itself has a fresh modern feel to it, but the atmosphere is relaxed and easy-going. It’s the kind of place where kids quickly make friends and just get stuck into pool life.

There’s not loads within walking distance, so most of your time is spent in the resort, but everything you need is on-site.

Travel Mum take: Great value option if your priority is slides, sunshine and simplicity over luxury extras.

Final ThoughtsĀ  – Picking the Right Waterpark Hotel in Greece

There are so many brilliant family waterpark hotels in Greece, but it really comes down to what kind of holiday you want and your budget. Greece is definitely the place to go for best family hotels with waterslides as you are spoilt for choice.

If you’re after a bit of luxury and everything feeling easy, you can’t go wrong with Stella Palace, Nana Royal, Amada Colossos or MarBella Corfu,Ā they just feel that bit more special.

For a really solid, mid-range family holiday, hotels like Creta Maris, Blue Lagoon Resort and Atlantica Aegean Blue and Stella Village are those easy, reliable options that just work.

And if you’re trying to keep costs down (but still want happy kids on slides all day), Gouves Waterpark, Star Beach Village, White Olive and Olive Garden are all great value picks.

If you’re travelling with younger kids, go for places with smaller splash parks and an easier layout. For older kids and teens, the bigger waterparks and more lively resorts will make all the difference.

Travel Mum tip: May and October are such a sweet spot, same slides, fewer crowds, better prices.

An alternative if waterpark hotels just stretch the budget too far is to look at a Eurocamp, although they don’t have any in Greece they have some amazing waterpark parc all over Europe.

Hi, I’m a mum of two lively boys and married to a husband who (unfortunately) keeps my holiday obsession in check! We’re all about fun, active family getaways as relaxing isn’t really in my boys’ vocabulary!

Our go to destination is the UAE, and over the years we’ve tried and tested plenty of hotels and experiences, which I love sharing on Instagram. Living in beautiful Dorset, I know just how exhausting the trek to London airports can be especially after a long flight. That’s why I’m here to help you discover amazing holiday deals flying from our more convenient local airports of Exeter, Bournemouth, and Southampton.

Whether it’s travel tips, hotel reviews, or family days out, I’m all about sharing our adventures and hopefully helping you find your next great holiday at a brilliant price.

Today we lost my Mum šŸ’”. The most kind, caring, fun-loving woman I know. I made this video for her last month as I wanted to celebrate her while she was with us. She loved it. She asked what I was going to do with the video, and I said ā€œI will post it so everyone can see how amazing you are…. when you’re dead I guessā€. Then we all laughed. That was the sort of weird, dark humour we all had throughout this awful time.

We said all the things we wanted to say. She knew how much she is loved and how special she is. From the moment she was diagnosed she was positive, grateful and thought of everyone else. Leaving us with the best memories. She has had the most wonderful life, and she left peacefully with me, my brother and my dad by her side, just as she wished. Not everyone gets to leave on such good terms. Content and peaceful.

I cannot thank @stlukessheff for the care they gave my mum (and us) during the last week. My mum doesn’t want a traditional funeral, she had a unique wish for her send off which we will be doing just us. Rather than flowers or condolence gifts, a donation to St Luke’s would be appreciated. There is a link in my linktree where you can donate - we are so close to Ā£10k šŸ™šŸ»ā¤ļø
