Best Hotels in Tenerife for Teenagers – A 2026 Guide

Trying to find a hotel to suit the whole family can be tough, especially as they get older. They’re too old for mini discos and character meet-and-greets, but still want plenty to do beyond lying by the pool. The good news? Tenerife is packed with hotels that are brilliant for older kids and teens. Think water slides, gaming zones, sports facilities, teen clubs, surf simulators, rooftop pools and even live DJs.

Whether you’ve got thrill-seeking teens, sporty teens or those who simply want somewhere Instagram-worthy to hang out, there’s something here for everyone. So if you’re searching for the best hotels in Tenerife for teenagers, these are the ones I would recommend.

Check out teenager friendly hotels here!

1. Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort, Playa de la Arena

One of the best all-round hotels in Tenerife for teenagers – this hotel is hard to beat for all the family.

The resort is packed with activities including a splash park, zip lines, climbing wall, sports courts, mini golf and even a dedicated teen club. There’s so much to do that they won’t be glued to their phones all day (well, hopefully!). The spacious grounds also mean older kids can enjoy a little independence while you relax by the pool.

Why teens love it:
  • Dedicated teen club for 12-17 year olds
  • Gaming consoles
  • Multiple pools and splash park
Why parents love it:
  • Great all inclusive options
  • Spacious family suites available
  • Close to local beach

2. Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, Playa Paraiso

If your teenager thinks most family hotels are “boring”, then this hotel is for them, especially music lovers.

The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has a trendy and much more grown-up vibe than your typical family resort. This beachfront resort offers live music, DJs, incredible pool areas and plenty of Instagram-worthy spots throughout the hotel. Older kids love the stylish atmosphere and the fact it feels more like a luxury resort than a family hotel.

There are kids clubs to suit every age with the Teen Spirit offering music workshops and game console competitions, while the huge choice of restaurants means even the fussiest teenager should find something they like.

Why teens love it:
  • Live music and great atmosphere
  • Multiple pools
  • Dedicated teen club for 11-16 years
Why parents love it:
  • Adults only pool
  • Excellent dining options
  • Great choice of stylish rooms for all family sizes

3. GF Victoria, Costa Adeje

This hotel regularly appears on my Tenerife recommendations because it genuinely offers something for every age group. For teenagers, the headline attraction is the surf pool and water slides. There’s also a climbing wall, adventure park and sports areas. It is within walking distance of the local beach and close by to Siam Park for a great day out. This luxurious hotel is ideal if you want something a little more premium than the average family resort.

Why teen love it:
  • Surf Pool
  • Dedicated teen club ages 13-16 years
  • Water slides
Why parents love it:
  • Adults only infinity pool
  • Good choice of bars and restaurants
  • Beautiful suites

4. PlayaOlid Suites & Apartments, Costa Adeje

Not every family wants to spend thousands on a Tenerife holiday, and that’s where PlayaOlid really shines. This hotel offers fantastic value for money while still giving older kids plenty to enjoy.

The central Costa Adeje location means teenagers can enjoy exploring nearby shops, beaches and attractions with the family, while the hotel itself has pools, entertainment and a lively atmosphere with dedicated teen club. All-inclusive comes as standard meaning all the family should be well catered for at the buffet restaurant.

If you’re looking for an affordable Tenerife holiday with teenagers, this is definitely worth considering.

Why teens love it:
  • Dedicated teen club for 13-17 years
  • Lively atmosphere
  • Close to beach and shops
Why parents love it:
  • Excellent value
  • Spacious apartments available
  • Central Costa Adeje location

5. Spring Hotel Bitacora, Playa de las Americas

If your teenager wants action-packed holidays, they’ll love the Bitacora.

The hotel has a fantastic water slide area, splash zones and a brilliant activity programme for older children in Tenerife. Its location in Playa de las Americas is also a major selling point. You’ll be close to beaches, shopping centres and plenty of attractions, making it ideal for families with older children who want more than just a hotel pool. For younger kids, there is an indoor play area, playground and kids pool to suite all ages.

The atmosphere is fun, energetic and perfect for active families.

Why teens love it:
  • Aquapark with waterslides
  • Games room
  • Dedicated teens club for 12-17 years
Why parents love it:
  • Plenty of entertainment for all ages
  • Indoor sauna
  • Close to resort centre and short airport transfer

6. Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife, Golf del Sur

If you’re travelling with a mix of ages, Bahia Principe Fantasia is one of the best all-round family hotels in Tenerife. While the fairytale castle theme initially looks geared towards younger children, there’s actually plenty here to keep teens entertained too. The hotel has a dedicated teen club called The Loft, complete with games, pool tables, table tennis and social activities, plus sports facilities, multiple pools and evening entertainment.

The resort itself is huge, with several swimming pools, a water park, professional shows in the castle theatre and plenty of activities happening throughout the day. Spacious family rooms that sleep up to five guests make it a great option for larger families too

Why teens love it:
  • Dedicated teens club 13-17 years
  • Games room, pool tables and table tennis
  • Multiple swimming pools
Why parents love it:
  • Spacious family rooms
  • Great all-inclusive package
  • Plenty to keep all ages happy

Final Thoughts on the Best Hotels in Tenerife for Teenagers

If I had to narrow it down the best hotels for teenagers in Tenerife…

Best for active teenagers: Landmar Costa Los Gigantes

Best for cool vibes: Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife

Best luxury option: GF Victoria

Best budget option: PlayaOlid Suites & Apartments

Best for a wide range of ages: Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife

Best all-rounder: Iberostar Waves Bouganville Playa

Whichever you choose, Tenerife is one of the easiest destinations for family holidays with teenagers. The weather is fantastic year-round, there’s loads to do beyond the hotel and these resorts all offer enough entertainment to keep older kids happy while still allowing parents to relax.

What do you think of the new hair?! Should I stick to being a scraggy mess? 🙃😅

If my mum could see this she’d laugh, and be glad I’ve sorted my hair out ❤️
