Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort: A Family Review
The Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort previously a holiday village, is a fabulous family hotel set with sweeping views of the Atlantic, multiple pools and everything you will need to keep the kids entertained. It’s a large resort but everything you need is easily accessible. You can watch the sunset every night from the terrace bar or from the dining room if you bag an table on the terrace in the restaurant.
Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort: Room Options
There are multiple room options available:
For couples or if Nanny and Grandad are joining you:
- Double Room
For Families:
- Suite Garden View with a separate living room and private terrace
- Suite Ocean View with a separate living room and stunning Atlantic views
- Duplex Rooms are set across two floors (something to be aware of with young children) and have two bathrooms and a private balcony
- Landi Village Suite with separate living area and themed for kids and exclusive perks (more on that below)
Family Village Suite / ‘Landi Room’ extras
There are a number of perks you get if you staying in a Family Village Suite ‘Landi Room’. It is well worth considering if the additional cost will add to your holiday as a family.
When we last visited in February 2025 the perks were:
- Location of the rooms – they are near one of the children’s pools and the slide.
- 3 a la carte meals at one of the two a la carte restaurants – you need to book these as soon as you arrive and sometimes getting an early time slot can be quite tricky for all three bookings.
- 2 hour family spa access – this can be used at the set family times, or the adults can use this separately at the non family times.
- You are given green beach towels which allows you to reserve front row sunbeds with Landi badge, before 10am.
- There is a play tent and chalk board in the room which comes in handy to entertain the children.
- Free childcare for 2 hours in the Baby Club.
- The mini bar is stocked with soft drinks and sweets.
- The children get a small bag of Landi toiletries each.
- Separate dining area at breakfast (makes it easier to get a table on the terrace)
- Additional breakfast items including, made to order fresh smoothies with donuts (picture below), freshly made crepes to order, smoked salmon and pink prosecco.
- First entry in to the kids disco and the chance to meet Landi and get a photo.
- Whippy ice cream at the main pool (in addition to the small ice cream tubs).
- Good coffee from the main bar (instead of the not so nice coffee from the all inclusive machines!)
For us, all these things really added to our holiday!
Children’s Facilities and Entertainment at Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort
There are some great activities to keep the children entertained in this hotel:
- Firstly there is a whole host of clubs
- Baby Club (6 months+)
- Kids Club (4–12 years)
- Teens Club (12–17 years)
-
Splash Park
- Water slide
- Two toddler pools and three family pools (one of the pools is a quiet pool and one has music and games!)
- Outdoor soft play
-
Multi-adventure circuit with climbing wall
-
Mini-golf
- Football pitch
- Arcade
Festival night – one night a week they set up an area with bouncy castle, craft stalls, face painting and a stage which is a great way to mix up the evening entertainment!
Landi Disco – this is the mini disco which is on two times per evening before the evening entertainment, this always has a god turn out and Landi makes an appearance to dance to his own ‘Landi’ songs every night (which then live rent free in your head for the rest of the holiday!)
Evening entertainment – there is at least one show per night inside which ranges from magicians to acrobats. They also have live music outside, which in our experience has always been good and easy to enjoy.
Dining options at Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort
We have always opted to be all inclusive in this hotel as there isn’t a huge range of choice outside of the hotel (more on that in a moment).
There are two buffet restaurants – The Teide is the main restaurant it is big and does get a little busy at peak dinner time (7.30pm), but it is always well stocked with food being replenished all the time. If this restaurant becomes full, they open the smaller buffet restaurant – Volcan. This serves exactly the same food.
The food is good and pretty typical of a 4* all inclusive with meat, fish, salads, pizzas, themed nights and a special area for the children to serve their own food.
Top tip – if you have any allergies, speak to the restaurant manager and they will guide you through the food, but you can also order food directly from the kitchen.
If you are staying all inclusive you can serve yourself wine which is of a good standard, compared with other all inclusive hotels that we have stayed at.
There are two al a carte restaurants Bones Grill Restaurant serving grilled specialties and Ciao Restaurant which is Italian cuisine. Both have relatively small menus but the food is good and they do make a nice change from the buffet restaurants.
In the day time and close to the pools you can choose from:
Nearby…
You can exit the hotel through the back gate near the splash park and follow the hill down to a black-sand beach, be mindful that the sand heats up fast under the sun, and the waves here tend to be quite lively due to the rocky coastline. Not ideal for little ones to paddle all day, but perfect for a walk along the beach and an ice cream!
You can also reach another beach, small Marina, Lidl and other shops if you turn left out of the main entrance of the hotel.
There isn’t a huge range of eateries close by and so we would suggest all inclusive if you decide to stay here.
If you fancy a day out – one of the most highly rated waterparks in the world – Siam Park – is well worth a visit and is around 30 mins from this hotel.
Overview of Landmar Costa Los Gigantes Family Resort
We really love this hotel, especially for a family winter break! It has everything you need to keep the kids entertained, spectacular sunset views and a great selection of food and drinks to keep everyone happy!
The only thing that could make it better for me would for it to near a family friendly beach as we love swimming in the sea!
Therefore my Travel mum score is 4.5/5 !
We will definitely return soon!

You don’t often see all inclusive August prices like this.
The benefit of an all inclusive holiday is that most of your holiday spends are covered, meaning budgeting is a lot easier. We love a buffet with our picky eaters. It makes meal time so much easier.
I’ve put the link to this deal in my link tree, or comment AUGUST and I’ll send it you in a DM 💛

£266pp is a fab package holiday price for the Easter holidays. There’s a heated indoor pool for the kids to splash in, and the cooler weather makes it a great time to explore this gorgeous island.
Comment EASTER and I’ll send you the link for the hotel. Alternatively check out my linktree as it’s currently on there.

Ksamil is a town on the Albanian Riviera and has had some very mixed reviews over the years, and I think a lot of that comes down to when you visit.
We absolutely loved our trip. It was incredibly affordable too - we paid £190 for six nights in an apartment that slept five! (This was in 2023) I’ve written a full blog post about the trip over on the website, where I’ve shared some great-value accommodation options and tips if you’re thinking about booking something similar.
Comment BLOG and I’ll send you the link along with some cheap flights and info on how to get there!
Expect things like:
🍻 £1.50 pints
🦐 Seafood dishes for under £10
☀️ Beautiful, crystal-clear beaches
We visited in May, when there were very few other people around. The town was just starting to open up for the season, the weather was lovely, and it felt relaxed and easy to enjoy.
June also seems like a great time to visit – a few more things open, but still without the peak summer crowds.
July and August appear to be a very different experience. The town is quite small, and it struggles to cope with the number of visitors in peak season. It can feel very crowded, and prices - particularly for things like sun loungers - can become very steep because of the demand.
So if Ksamil is on your list, timing really is everything!
