Three Places You Didn’t Know You Could Fly To From Newcastle Airport
Newcastle International Airport is often unfairly seen as the poorer cousin of bigger airports like Manchester, Heathrow and Gatwick but offers a variety of unique and less-traveled destinations that can add an adventurous twist to your travel plans.
Here are three places you didn’t know you could reach from Newcastle:
Morocco
Not just one airline flies to Morocco from Newcastle, but two! TUI has introduced direct flights to Agardir, a sunny coastal city, known for its 300 days of sunshine and vibrant markets. And not to be left in the shade, Ryanair offers twice weekly flights to Marrakesh famous for its palaces and gardens.

Lapland
Gone are the days when flying to meet Father Christmas meant travelling to London or Manchester to catch a flight. Your magical trip to the North Pole can now start from Newcastle with TUI flying directly during the winter months, so whether you want to experience the Northern Lights or just check you’re still firmly on the ‘Nice’ list then TUI’s flights from Newcastle have you covered.

Channel Islands of Jersey & Guernsey
Exploring the globe doesn’t always mean venturing far, especially with the hidden gems of Jersey and Guernsey only an hour’s flight away from Newcastle. Famed for their stunning beaches, mild climate and unique combination of British and French culture both Loganair and Blue Islands can have you there in a jiffy.
Flights to Jersey are usually around £89 per person with Blue Island, with September being the cheapest month to explore the beautiful island.
The North East is really lucky to have Newcastle International Airport on its doorstep and with these unique destinations the travel doesn’t need to be any less adventurous than it would be from the UK’s larger airports.
