If you’re planning a family holiday and the words sun, easy flights and happy kids are at the top of your wish list, then the Canary Islands are hard to beat. Add in hotels with splash parks and waterparks, and you’ve got a recipe for a holiday where everyone genuinely has a good time – including you!
As a mum, I know that choosing the right hotel can make or break a family holiday. You want somewhere that’s fun for the kids, safe and manageable for toddlers, but also relaxing enough that parents don’t come home more exhausted than when they left. That’s where these hotels really shine. From pirate ships and mini slides for little ones, to big waterparks and lazy rivers for older kids, these are the best family friendly hotels in the Canary Islands with splash parks and waterparks. Most offer all inclusive options (a lifesaver with kids), brilliant entertainment, and easy access to beaches.

Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito is definitely one of the best family hotels in the Canary Islands if you want a family friendly hotel in Gran Canaria with a waterpark right on your doorstep. Located in Playa Taurito, this hotel gives you access to one of the area’s biggest attractions – a huge onsite waterpark that’s perfect for children of all ages. Little ones will love the shallow splash pools, mini slides and pirate ship, while older kids can spend hours racing down the bigger slides. Parents will appreciate the large main pool and the fact that Taurito Beach is just 70 metres away, making beach days incredibly easy. We experienced the palliative care unit which is NHS funded and our time there was horrendous (I’m sure they do great things for lots of people, but that wasn’t our experience). Walking into St Luke’s was like a huge weight was lifted from us. The difference in care was day and night. We could suddenly be family and stop having to be carers and advocates for my mum getting what she needed. I went into the hospice angry, with my back up, still on high alert and fighting for my mum to get the right care. Because that had been the case for the previous months. I quickly realised we were safe there. I will be eternally grateful. I hope everyone reading this gets to experience such love and peace at the end of their lives ❤️

If a man had to bleed from his willy every month, and deal with fluctuating energy, moods and discomfort - can you imagine what advancements we would have had. Imagine if any of the men running that half marathon had to do it while blood pours from their bits… of course they’d be given the pill which delays it.
