Where to search for your UAE holiday:

Top Tips – The above  holiday and attraction suppliers are fab for searching for a UAE holiday

Make sure you select direct flights to either Abu Dhabi or Dubai unless you’re ok with a longer travel day. Emirates flights only fly into Dubai and Etihad only fly into Abu Dhabi. Its just over an hours transfer between the cities.

I would always select half board as a minimum as food costs can add up. If you see a Club lounge room on offer, snap it up as they can save a lot on the food and drink bill. All Inclusive isn’t so popular but there are some great choices still.

Don’t pay for transfers, Etihad transfers are free but for other providers just get a taxi its much cheaper.

After Dubai being our go to destinations for years, Abu Dhabi has now won us over. It’s perfect for families, think sunshine, stunning natural sandy beaches and world class theme parks. It offers a diverse range of activities from racing down waterslides to kayaking through mangroves or just relaxing in a family friendly resort. There really is something for everyone and its taken the top UAE holiday spot for us. I’m also a huge fan of visiting in the Summer to grab some amazing prices and I have lots of tips on how to holiday in the summer months and where to visit.

Top Tips – Only buy tickets from approved suppliers

For all excursions in Abu Dhabi I recommend Get your Guide which I have linked below.

Dubai is a family holiday playground like no other, golden beaches, record breaking attractions and endless sunshine. You can’t fail to have a fun holiday here from splashing around at Aquaventure to exploring the desert dunes, or just being totally spoilt in one of the many family friendly resorts. We have enjoyed so many family holidays in this amazing city.

ras-al-khaimah-canva-1

Ras Al Khaimah is the UAE’s hidden gem for family holidays. Just under an hour from Dubai this laid back emirate combines adventure, culture and relaxation all in one. From relaxing by the pool to desert safaris to exploring ancient forts or trying the worlds longest zipline there really is a lot to explore.

Top Tip – Most family resorts here offer all inclusive and it’s worth upgrading.

qatar-1

With the same amazing climate as the UAE, Qatar offers another great family holiday destination. Qatar is smaller than the UAE with most attractions centred around Doha, which makes it easy to get around with kids in tow. You can expect to find the same level of luxury family focused resorts here as the UAE.

Your Middle East Holiday FAQs

Yes, it’s super easy to grab a taxi from the airports. In the UAE look for the cream coloured taxi’s with a Taxi sign on the roof. These are the cheapest taxis. If you prefer to have a pre-arranged transfer with a driver waiting for you holding a sign up with your name on arrival, then I use this company for these type of transfers and you can get a quote by clicking here.

In public you should dress respectfully by avoiding overly revealing clothing. Out and about I tend to cover my shoulders and wear knee length or below skirts and dresses. You can wear your usual swimwear in hotels and on beaches.
