As a family with young kids, airports can sometimes feel like total chaos but not here. This airport is wonderfully compact, yet it still offers everything you need. Thanks to an exciting new partnership with Jet2, alongside existing routes from TUI and Ryanair, you can now fly to a wide range of European destinations without the hassle of trekking to a London airport. Which we all know isn’t fun when you live miles away.
One of the best perks is no waiting around for shuttle buses , you’re basically at check in as soon as you close your car boot!
Despite its smaller size, the airport still has everything to make your journey smooth and stress free. Grab a coffee, pick up a snack, and don’t worry there’s a WHSmith and a duty-free shop for all those last-minute plane essentials.

Which hotels are closest to Bournemouth Airport?
The closest hotel to the airport is Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean which is less than 10 minutes away and is a budget friendly over night stay.
If you are looking for a more scenic hotel then The Bridge House hotel is 3.5 miles away and offers a riverside setting.
And if you are a fan of a Premier Inn then Premier Inn Bournemouth Ferndown is 6 miles from the airport.

Bournemouth Airport Parking
It’s honestly so easy to park at this airport, no shuttle buses and no meet and greet just 3 car parks to pick from:
Premium Car Park 1 which is located directly opposite the terminal is the most convenient with little legs in tow with a 1-3 minute walk to the terminal.
Car Park 2 which is 3-10 minutes walk
Car Park 3 which is a 5-7 minute walk

Ksamil is a town on the Albanian Riviera and has had some very mixed reviews over the years, and I think a lot of that comes down to when you visit.
We absolutely loved our trip. It was incredibly affordable too - we paid £190 for six nights in an apartment that slept five! (This was in 2023) I’ve written a full blog post about the trip over on the website, where I’ve shared some great-value accommodation options and tips if you’re thinking about booking something similar.

Expect things like:

🦐 Seafood dishes for under £10
☀️ Beautiful, crystal-clear beaches
We visited in May, when there were very few other people around. The town was just starting to open up for the season, the weather was lovely, and it felt relaxed and easy to enjoy.
June also seems like a great time to visit – a few more things open, but still without the peak summer crowds.
July and August appear to be a very different experience. The town is quite small, and it struggles to cope with the number of visitors in peak season. It can feel very crowded, and prices - particularly for things like sun loungers - can become very steep because of the demand.
So if Ksamil is on your list, timing really is everything!
