Holiday Green Eurocamp – An Honest Family Review 2025

This summer, we chose to stay at Holiday Green Eurocamp in the south of France, just outside the town of Fréjus on the beautiful Côte d’Azur. We were after somewhere with an amazing pool, plenty for the kids to do, and within easy reach of the beach and nearby towns we could explore as a family. Holiday Green had all of that and more.

If you’re dreaming of a family holiday filled with sunshine, swimming and sightseeing (without the hefty price tag), Eurocamp is such a great option! Their parks are dotted all over Europe and are brilliant for families, especially if you’re travelling with little ones.

How to get to Holiday Green Eurocamp

Getting to Holiday Green Eurocamp from the UK is really simple, with a few great options depending on how you like to travel. The quickest and easiest way is to fly into Nice airport, which is about an hour’s drive from the site. From there, you can either hire a car to give you freedom to explore or pre-book a taxi or shuttle for a stress-free arrival. If you prefer a scenic adventure, driving all the way is a fantastic option. You can take the Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais or hop on a ferry from ports like Dover or Portsmouth, then enjoy a road trip through the French countryside down to the Côte d’Azur. For those wanting a car-free holiday, it’s also possible to fly and then use public transport or a shuttle service to reach the park.

See our preferred company for booking airport transfers here.

Arriving at the Camp

Check-in was super easy! Friendly staff, no queues, and everything explained clearly, so we were in and settled in no time. As we made our way through the site, I instantly felt relaxed. Holiday Green is surrounded by nature, with tall pine trees and loads of greenery creating a calm, peaceful vibe from the moment you arrive.

Holiday Green Eurocamp Campsite Accommodation

We stayed in a Comfort XL three-bedroom mobile home and it was absolutely lovely. There were two twin bedrooms and one double, which gave us plenty of space as a family. The living area was also fab! Having a parking spot right outside was so handy for unloading everything, and the gated decking area was a big bonus with Luca – no chance of any little escapes while we were trying to relax! One thing I really loved about this site is how spread out everything is. The mobile homes aren’t crammed together, and all the trees and greenery give it a really peaceful, private feel. It felt like our own little pocket of calm in the middle of nature.

Holiday Green Eurocamp Pool

The pool area at Holiday Green was a total winner with the kids, especially Leo, who couldn’t get enough of the slides! There are three pools – two great for families and a smaller one just for toddlers. The slides add to the fun, with six in all: four big enough for everyone to join in, and two designed with tiny tots in mind.

For extra excitement, there’s a splash playground that’s completely separate from the pools, making it safe and super fun for the little ones. Honestly, it’s waterpark heaven for families!

Just a heads-up for the grown-ups: men are required to wear speedos in the pool area – but they don’t have to be the budgie-smuggler kind!

Holiday Green Eurocamp – Entertainment

The whole central area of the parc is so well thought out, especially for families.

Everything is in one place – the kids’ club, playground, evening entertainment, the restaurant and bar – all set around the pool complex. This setup makes a huge difference, especially if you’ve got older kids who want a bit of freedom, because it’s all close-knit and easy to keep an eye on from wherever you’re sitting.

👧🧒 Kids’ Club & Activities

There’s a full activity schedule for children of different ages, and Leo loved popping into the kids’ club. It’s run by friendly, energetic staff and had loads going on – from crafts to games to dance-offs. It gave us a bit of downtime too, which is a win all round!

🎭 Evening Entertainment

In the evenings, the parc puts on a full line-up of entertainment. There were family-friendly shows, games, and music most nights, which meant we didn’t feel the need to head off-site looking for something to do. It was such a nice way to end the day – sat with a drink while Leo enjoyed the mini disco or watched a show.

Holiday Green Eurocamp – Dining Options

  • Main Restaurant: For a sit‑down evening, there’s a restaurant with both indoor dining and a terrace. A good option if you’re feeling fancy or want a proper dinner without leaving the parc.

  • La Paillote Snack Bar: Perfect for casual lunches or when you just need something easy. Things like salads, sandwiches, paninis, hot dogs, waffles, crepes, ice creams. No fuss, just good, simple stuff.

  • Take‑away / Quick Bite Options: If you want something even more casual, there are take‑away choices.

  • Bars & Lounge Areas: There’s a bar by the water park called Lounge Bar, which is perfect for an afternoon cocktail or relaxing drink while the kids splash about. Also Art Travel Bar is a lively open‑air spot, often hosting concerts, games or family entertainment in the evening.

  • Bakery / Pastry Stand: If you’re up early or want something small for breakfast or late morning treats, there’s a bakery or pastry stand with fresh bread and croissants. Very handy.

  • Mini‑market / Grocery: For days when you’d rather self‑cater (or need things like snacks, drinks, or essentials), there’s a mini‑market on site so you don’t need to drive into Fréjus every time.

Things To Do Near Holiday Green Eurocamp (No Car Needed!)

An added bonus of staying at Holiday Green Eurocamp is that you don’t need a car to explore the area. Every day, a free shuttle bus leaves from the campsite, taking you to different nearby towns – which is a total game changer if you’re not confident driving abroad or just want a more relaxed holiday. No sat nav stress, no parking dramas – just hop on and go!

We had a car on this trip and chose to drive ourselves, but it’s really good to know that there’s a free and easy alternative available. Especially for families, solo travellers, or anyone wanting to keep things simple – the shuttle makes exploring the Côte d’Azur much more accessible.

This area is packed with beautiful, family-friendly places to visit – from sandy beaches and charming old towns to fountains, carousels, and some of the best sea views we’ve ever seen!

holiday-green-eurocamp

Nice

Our first day trip was to Nice, where we started with a run through the fountains at Promenade du Paillon. It was such a fun (and free!) way to cool down, and it honestly felt like a lifesaver in the heat – we definitely underestimated how hot it was going to be!

After drying off, we wandered into Vieux Nice (Old Town), which was full of colourful buildings, little shops, and had a lovely local vibe.

We grabbed a slice of pissaladière for lunch – it’s a traditional Niçoise tart made with caramelised onions and anchovies. Salty, sweet, and surprisingly addictive – definitely worth trying if you spot it on a menu!

We’d also planned to walk up to Castle Hill for those famous views over the coast, but it was just too hot to manage with little ones in tow.

Parking in Nice: We parked in the Promenade des Arts underground car park, which was central and convenient for the Old Town and fountains. It cost around €7.50 for just under three hours – totally reasonable for a big city like Nice.

Fréjus

We spent an afternoon in Fréjus, and it was fabulous!

The beach is sandy (not always a given on this coastline) and great for kids. It was fairly busy, but still had plenty of space to spread out and the sea was lovely.

After our dip, we wandered over to a beach bar, where I treated myself to a Limoncello Spritz – and it might just be the best one I’ve ever had.  It was €16 (not cheap!), but totally worth it as a one-off holiday treat.

Parking in Fréjus: We parked in a small car park near the port, and the machine said it would be €6. But when we paid, it only charged us €0.90 for three hours. No idea why, but we weren’t complaining!

Book a Fréjus Cave Tour Here!
holiday-green-eurocamp

Saint-Raphaël

Just a few minutes down the coast from Fréjus is Saint-Raphaël, and we honestly loved it here. The beach was a bit more spread out, which made it feel less crowded, and the sea was absolutely gorgeous – calm, clear, and perfect for swimming.

There’s a cute Ferris wheel and carousel by the promenade, which Leo couldn’t resist. We stopped for a drink at a snack bar, then had a little mooch through the town – it’s genuinely lovely to walk around, with palm-lined streets and pretty squares.

One of the sweetest moments was when Leo spotted a church and asked if we could go inside – a little peaceful break from the sun. We ended up grabbing lunch at McDonald’s, and I know it might sound odd to mention, but… it had the best view I’ve ever had at a fast food place. We said afterwards that we probably would’ve paid a small fortune for that view in a restaurant!

Parking here was just under €8 for just under three hours, which felt totally reasonable for the location.

Cannes

We didn’t visit Cannes on this trip, but I’ve been before and it’s definitely worth a quick mention. It’s got that classic Riviera feel – glamorous, stylish, and full of beautiful people – but to be honest, it’s kind of like a smaller version of Nice.

If you’re short on time, I’d say go for Nice over Cannes, but if you fancy a wander down the Croisette or want to check it off the list, it’s a lovely place for a stroll and a coffee by the sea.

Other Places to Visit Nearby

If you’ve got more time in the area or fancy switching things up from the beach, there are loads of other fab spots within easy reach of Holiday Green. Whether you’re after nature, fun for the kids, or something a bit different, here are a few options to consider:

💦 Aqualand Fréjus

Perfect if you’ve got little ones (or big kids!) who love a waterpark. It’s just a few minutes from the campsite and has loads of slides, splash zones and space to cool off. Great for a full-on fun day, especially when it’s roasting and the beach feels like too much effort.

🐦 Les Étangs de Villepey (Villepey Ponds)

This nature reserve is just outside Fréjus and offers peaceful walking trails, bird spotting and a nice break from the busier coastal spots. Great if you want to take a packed lunch and just slow things down a bit.

🌸 Grasse – The Perfume Capital

If you fancy a day away from the coast, Grasse is a gorgeous hilltop town known for its perfume industry. There are museums, cute cobbled streets and amazing views. It’s a bit of a drive but worth it for something completely different.

🥾 The Esterel Massif

For more active days, the Esterel Mountains offer stunning red rock landscapes and beautiful coastal walks. You don’t need to do a full hike – even a short walk here gives you incredible views and a totally different vibe from the beach towns.

⛵ Saint-Tropez

A bit more of a day trip, but if you’ve never been, Saint-Tropez is fun for a wander. Expect glitzy yachts, little boutiques, and a real “south of France” feel. You can drive or look into boat trips from nearby ports.

🌊 Théoule-sur-Mer

Less busy than Nice or Cannes but just as pretty, Théoule-sur-Mer is a lovely little town with quiet beaches, red rock cliffs, and dreamy sea views. Great for a more peaceful day by the water.

🛥 Sanary-sur-Mer

This seaside town is a little further out but has a proper local feel, with colourful boats in the harbour, seafood restaurants, and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe.

Holiday Green Eurocamp – Overall

We had such a brilliant time at Holiday Green Eurocamp. The location is perfect for exploring the Côte d’Azur, the parc itself has everything you need for an easy, family-friendly break, and there’s so much to do both on site and nearby. Whether you want beach days, pool time, or just a bit of chilled-out sunshine, it’s all there – and the fact that it’s so well set up for kids made the whole trip feel like an actual holiday for us grown-ups too.

We visited Eurocamp as an ambassador for the brand. All opinions shared are our own.

Would the speedo rule put you off holidaying somewhere?!

It’s well known that many camp sites and pools in France have this rule, but this is the first time we’ve actually encountered it for ourselves. I hear that some men say they would never, but honestly, everyone looks great and no one is looking at anyone else 😅🫶🏻

Ad Have you seen this parc?! 😍

Bella Italia is a brilliant option if you are looking for a @eurocampholidays - we visited here followed by Union Lido, another Eurocamp which I posted about before this.

Verona airport is the closest, but Bergamo is another great option and the airport we flew to.

Taking your child to a festival is such a great family experience. Most festivals are about celebrating music, arts, dance, diversity and so many wonderful things that children need to be exposed to.

With opportunities to learn about different genres of music, have instrument lessons, make crafts, watch theatre, learn circus skills, meet people from all walks of life and spend some quality time together as a fam - why wouldn’t you 👀😍 Many festivals have dedicated family camping fields, which usually have the best facilities. Many have specific kids fields with endless activities for them to enjoy. We are heading to our second festival of the summer in a few weeks time 🙌🏻

So many of you say you’re nervous about the toilets at festivals… but should you be?!

It depends. I have seen some absolute devastating scenes in the long drops, but sometimes you come across a decent one. The busier the area is, the worse they get. Look for toilets in the quieter areas, and if you’ve got kids head to wicket ground family camping for the best loos on site!

The price of the food though 🫣

This festival is not cheap. It is one of our favourite things we do each year so we take the hit, but we probably spent around £500 whilst there across our family of three, which honestly could have been much more.. we bring a stove, kettle, coffee and cereal to save money on breakfast. You can buy fresh milk on site. Bringing our own spirits saved a lot of money on alcoholic drinks. We brought a lot of snacks for Leo to keep him full longer and not demanding £6.50 smoothies 😅

Did you go this year?! What did you think of the food?!
