Mundo Pixar Experience – Honest Family Review 2026
Our Visit to the Mundo Pixar Experience- Honest Family Review 2026
Mundo Pixar Experience – Honest Family Review 2026
If you’re wondering whether the Mundo Pixar Experience is worth visiting with young children, hopefully this honest family review will help. We recently visited the Mundo Pixar Experience in London with our children aged 3 and 5 years old and, despite being huge Pixar fans, I honestly wasn’t sure if they would be too young to fully appreciate it.
As it turns out, they absolutely loved it.
Here’s everything you can expect from the Mundo Pixar Experience, including our favourite rooms, what younger children thought of it, and whether we think it’s worth the money for families.
What Is the Mundo Pixar Experience?
The Mundo Pixar Experience is an immersive walkthrough exhibition that brings some of Pixar’s most iconic films to life through large-scale themed rooms, detailed sets, music, lighting, and sound effects.
Rather than a traditional museum-style exhibition, the Mundo Pixar Experience focuses on making visitors feel as though they’ve stepped directly inside the films themselves. As you walk through, you move between different Pixar worlds inspired by movies including:
- Toy Story
- Up
- Monsters, Inc.
- Cars
- Coco
- Finding Nemo
It’s designed to be highly visual and incredibly photo-friendly, making it especially popular with families and Pixar fans.

Arriving at the Mundo Pixar Experience
Even from the outside, the Mundo Pixar Experience had that unmistakable Disney feeling. Before we had even properly entered, the children were already excitedly looking around trying to work out what was waiting inside.
Honestly, we didn’t fully know what to expect ourselves, but from the moment we arrived the atmosphere felt immersive and exciting. Familiar Pixar music played softly in the background while families queued to enter the different rooms, which immediately built anticipation.
One of the first things I noticed about the Mundo Pixar Experience was how organised everything felt. Staff members were friendly, welcoming, and very clear about how the exhibition worked. They also reassured everyone that there was no rush once inside, which I really appreciated as a parent.
Family attractions in London can sometimes feel overcrowded or stressful, especially with younger children, but the Mundo Pixar Experience felt much calmer and more relaxed than expected.
While waiting to enter the first room, we also had our photo taken, which could later be viewed and purchased in the gift shop with Pixar-themed backgrounds added.
Toy Story at the Mundo Pixar Experience
The Toy Story section of the Mundo Pixar Experience instantly became our favourite part of the entire exhibition.
Walking into Andy’s bedroom genuinely felt like stepping inside the film itself. The room is built on a huge scale so visitors feel toy-sized, and the effect works brilliantly. Giant furniture towers above you, oversized crayons and toys are scattered around the room, and everyday objects suddenly feel enormous.
The attention to detail inside this area of the Mundo Pixar Experience was incredible. Everywhere you looked there were recognisable references and little touches from the films.
Watching my children’s reactions honestly made this room even more special. Their faces completely lit up as they explored and pointed out familiar objects from the movies. For a moment, it genuinely felt like we had stepped directly into Andy’s bedroom.
This was also the section where we probably spent the longest taking photos.
Monsters, Inc. at the Mundo Pixar Experience
One of the next sections inside the Mundo Pixar Experience was inspired by Monsters, Inc., where visitors walk into the famous scare floor.
This was another huge hit with the children.
The lighting and sound effects recreated the atmosphere from the film perfectly, while colourful details from the factory surrounded the room. Thankfully, it still felt playful rather than frightening, which is important for younger children who can sometimes find darker attractions overwhelming.
The balance between immersive and family-friendly was done really well in this area of the Mundo Pixar Experience.
Up at the Mundo Pixar Experience
The Up section of the Mundo Pixar Experience felt surprisingly emotional and nostalgic, especially for parents who grew up watching Pixar films themselves.
Walking into Carl Fredricksen’s living room instantly felt recognisable, with so many little details from the film recreated around the room. The famous colourful balloons floating above the house made the whole area feel magical and immediately became one of the biggest photo spots in the exhibition.
My children were fascinated by the balloons and loved spotting familiar objects around the room, while I think the adults probably appreciated the nostalgic feeling even more. It really captured the warmth and charm of the film.
What I liked most about the Up section of the Mundo Pixar Experience was how calm and cosy it felt compared to some of the brighter, louder rooms. After the excitement of areas like Toy Story and Cars, this section felt slower paced and gave you a chance to properly take everything in.
Like the rest of the Mundo Pixar Experience, the attention to detail was impressive. Fans of the film will notice lots of small touches and references hidden throughout the room, making it feel as though you’ve stepped directly inside Carl and Ellie’s home
Cars, Coco and Finding Nemo at the Mundo Pixar Experience
The Mundo Pixar Experience then moved into areas inspired by Cars, Coco, and Finding Nemo, all of which had completely different atmospheres.
Cars
The Cars section was probably my son’s overall favourite because he has always loved Lightning McQueen.
Seeing Lightning McQueen and Mater up close absolutely made his day. He immediately ran over shouting their names before posing for photos and dancing to the theme music.
The bright colours and energy of Radiator Springs were recreated really well, and although the experience itself isn’t interactive, the immersive sets still kept the children engaged throughout.
Coco
The Coco-inspired section of the Mundo Pixar Experience was visually stunning and honestly one of the most beautiful rooms in the exhibition.
The lighting, colours, and decorations created such a warm atmosphere and captured the emotional feel of the film perfectly.
Finding Nemo
The Finding Nemo room was another favourite with younger children because it genuinely felt like stepping underwater.
The lighting effects and sound design helped create the illusion of being beneath the sea, and lots of younger visitors around us seemed completely fascinated by it.
Why the Mundo Pixar Experience Feels Different
One thing that really stood out about the Mundo Pixar Experience compared to other exhibitions we’ve visited was how immersive it felt. This isn’t an attraction where you simply walk around looking at props behind glass cabinets or reading information boards. Instead, the Mundo Pixar Experience is designed to make you feel fully surrounded by the Pixar worlds. Even as an adult, I found myself smiling constantly because every room brought back so many memories from watching the films over the years. The transitions between rooms were also done really well. After leaving one movie world behind, you never quite knew what would be waiting around the next corner, which kept the excitement going throughout the experience.
Hidden Pixar Balls Around the Mundo Pixar Experience
One small detail my children loved throughout the Mundo Pixar Experience was searching for hidden Pixar balls placed around the different rooms. It added a fun little challenge while walking through the exhibition and gave younger children something interactive to focus on as they explored.
Even though the Mundo Pixar Experience isn’t a hands-on attraction overall, these little details helped keep the children engaged the entire time.
Dressing Up for the Mundo Pixar Experience
My children absolutely love fancy dress, so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to dress up as some of our favourite Pixar characters for the Mundo Pixar Experience. Honestly, this made the whole visit feel even more magical.
They were so excited to fully embrace the Pixar theme, and it added an extra layer of fun watching them explore the different worlds dressed as their favourite characters.
If your children enjoy dressing up, I’d definitely recommend letting them wear Pixar outfits or Disney costumes to the Mundo Pixar Experience because it really adds to the excitement.
Is the Mundo Pixar Experience Worth It?
Overall, we genuinely had such a lovely day out at the Mundo Pixar Experience.
It felt completely different from the usual family activities in London and offered something unique, especially for Pixar fans. Even though my children are still quite young, seeing how immersed and excited they were made it completely worthwhile for us.
I’d especially recommend the Mundo Pixar Experience for:
- Families who love Pixar films
- Children who enjoy immersive experiences
- Anyone who loves taking photos
- Parents looking for indoor activities in London
- Disney and Pixar fans of any age
Tips for Visiting the Mundo Pixar Experience
After visiting the Mundo Pixar Experience, these would be my biggest recommendations:
- Visit during the week if possible
- Avoid peak school holiday times if you can
- Allow plenty of time for photos
- Dress children in comfortable outfits
- Consider Pixar fancy dress for extra fun
- Take your time in each room rather than rushing through
We visited on a quieter day, which meant we could properly enjoy each room and take photos without constantly waiting for spaces to clear.
FAQs
Are there toilets during the experience?
I’d definitely recommend using the toilets at the entrance before starting, as there aren’t any throughout the exhibition itself.
Can you take prams or buggies inside?
Prams and buggies are not allowed inside the exhibition to help keep walkways clear and protect the sets. However, there is a free stroller parking area available at the entrance, along with a cloakroom for bags and valuables. If you’re visiting with a baby or infant, baby carriers or slings are recommended for a more comfortable experience.
Is there an age requirement?
The experience is designed for all ages to enjoy. Children under 15 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult, and everyone aged 2 and above requires their own ticket.
Where is the exhibition located?
📍 Fulton Road, Wembley, HA9 0TF
Final Thoughts on the Mundo Pixar Experience
If your family loves Pixar films and you’re looking for a fun, visually impressive day out in London, I’d absolutely say the Mundo Pixar Experience is worth visiting.
While it may not be the most interactive attraction for children, the immersive sets, nostalgic atmosphere, and chance to step directly inside some of Pixar’s most iconic films make it incredibly memorable.
After all, it’s not every day you get the opportunity to walk straight into a Pixar movie.

PR How much do you think it would cost to stay in a place like this?! The villa has 6 ensuite bedrooms and is ideal for a group of friends or big multigenerational family. It’s only a 4 minute drive to Amalfi Town and has some lovely restaurants close by. The villa team helped arrange our transfer from Naples making the whole trip really easy.
If you have 12 people sharing the cost, using an example in May, it would be £142pp/pn - which for this super luxury experience is very reasonable!
