Escape Lounge discount code and review 2025
This Escape Lounge discount code will save you money
For a long time we saw airport lounges as being something a bit bougie and out of reach for our family. I imagined them being full of business people and couples off on their honeymoon. The reality turned out to be a lot more laid back and welcoming for all.
Why airport lounges are brilliant for families
- Guaranteed seats together + calm space. No more hunting for a table in Departures while juggling snacks and iPads. Having somewhere peaceful to sit can make the world of difference, especially for kids with additional needs.
- Food & drinks included. Freshly prepared dishes plus soft drinks, tea/coffee, wine, beer and spirits are part of the entry price. If you are planning to eat and have a few drinks at the airport, you could even save by booking a lounge (especially with our discount!)
- Wi-Fi + charging everywhere. Fast Wi-Fi, plenty of sockets, and even digital newspapers via PressReader. Perfect for keeping kids entertained and devices topped up ready for the flight.
- Infants go free. Children under 3 don’t pay – handy for baby/toddler families.
- 3 hours of breathing room. Your booking gets you up to 3 hours pre-departure. We find having this books make sure we get to the airport well in time (you know we are getting our moneys worth from those drinks!). Being early and having a lounge booked makes the airport feel like part of the holiday.
- Quick note on access: Escape Lounges welcome all travellers (any airline, any ticket class). You can pre-book, walk up (subject to space), or use certain memberships like Priority Pass or DragonPass.

Where you’ll find Escape Lounge in the UK
Escape currently operates at these UK airports:
-

-
East Midlands
-
Edinburgh
-
London Stansted
-
Manchester (Terminals 1 and 2; T3 is permanently closed)
Typical pre-book pricing starts from £35.99 per person (cheaper with our link and code).
What do you get for the price?
-
Food & drink: Hot & cold dishes, plus complimentary bar (coffee/tea, soft drinks, beer, wine, spirits). Menus vary by airport, which keeps things local. We most recently ate at T1 in Manchester airport. There was a lovely selection of salad items which you don’t always get in in airport lounges. There has always been something that our son Leo will eat too, as he is a picky eater. We always take a few snacks and canned drinks from the lounge for the plane journey.
-
Amenities: Fast Wi-Fi, plenty of charging points, printers if you need. They had some colouring / activity sheets for our eldest son. Many of the lounges have lovely views our onto the runway which our kids love.
Value check: Looking at reviews online – many call out the Escape Lounge at Stansted as one of the best and among the cheapest lounges they tried, which lines up with our own experience on the value-for-money these lounges offer compared to others.

Our Experience using an Escape Lounge
On arriving at Manchester Terminal 1, we checked in our car seats and then progressed through security.
Following the “Lounges” signs after security was easy enough; a quick lift ride later and we were at the Escape check-in desk. The host scanned our booking QR code, confirmed our three-hour window, and reminded us that house drinks and food were included (some premium tipples at extra cost). Our baby is under three, so he went in free – nice start!
First impressions of our Escape Lounge
Inside, the first impression was calm. You still know you’re in an airport – soft clatter, a low murmur – but it’s a world away from the boarding gates. We grabbed a table by the windows with a view across the runway, pointed out a taxiing jet to Leo, and immediately spotted a bank of plugs under the bench. Devices on charge; mid flight drama averted.
The food
There was a proper buffet setup. We kept it simple – salad and chicken for us (of course with a beer or three) and chips and nuggets for Leo. Staff were quick with a high chair for the baby and brought an activity sheet for Leo. Leo mentioned he also wanted pizza, and the team went and made him one despite it not being out on display!
Wi-Fi connected instantly and was fast enough to download a couple of Netflix episodes for the flight. There are magazines and newspapers to browse on your phone if that’s your jam, but honestly, Leo was too busy plane spotting between mouthfuls. Fresh batches of food seemed to appear regularly, so nothing sat around looking tired.
Was it busy?
Midway through our stay it did get busier, but we never felt packed in. The layout helps: little clusters of seats and a few booth-style nooks rather than one cavernous dining hall.
Practical bits that made a difference with kids:
-
Loads of charging points – no wrestling strangers for an outlet.
-
Plenty of smaller tables so we could “contain” crumbs and crayons.
-
Flight screens are easy to see; just remember lounges don’t always make announcements, so keep an eye on your gate.
About two hours in, we shifted from “relaxed” to “get-ready-to-board”. A quick bathroom stop (clean, with decent space for a changing bag shuffle), one last top-up of water bottles, and we packed away the devices fully charged. The children were fed, calm, and – crucially – not filthy from the airport floors. When our gate popped up on the screens, we left with a rare calm pre-flight feeling.
Value for families: our take
Could we have grabbed food in the terminal? Absolutely. But by the time you’ve queued for eternity to buy two adult meals, two kids’ bits, snacks, plus had a few drinks – you’re not far off lounge pricing anyway. Add in the quieter space, Wi-Fi, and guaranteed seating, and Escape felt like money well spent. If you’ve got an early start, a long wait, or kids who do better with a base camp, it’s a great option.
Would we book again?
Yes. For us, Escape Lounge T1 hits the sweet spot of calm, convenience, and cost. We’ll happily do it again – especially now we have a 15% discount code!
