Legoland Accommodation – An Honest Family Review 2025
Our guide to Legoland Accommodation
If your kid is obsessed with LEGO (like mine!), staying anywhere at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is basically a dream come true. But with so many different options to choose from – it can be a little overwhelming.
Here’s everything you need to know about the different Legoland accommodation types at Legoland Windsor:
Option 1: The LEGOLAND Hotel
My six-year-old son and I had a one-night stay here in May and were both wowed by the attention to detail. The magic absolutely kicks in from the moment you arrive. When deciding which legoland accommodation would be best for us, we wanted somewhere that would fully immerse us in Lego, and the Lego hotel does just that.
As you approach from the free car park, you’ll spot the LEGO clocktower, a fire-breathing dragon made entirely from bricks, and huge minifigs that make an unforgettable first impression. Then, walking into the lobby is like entering another world – giant LEGO models, a glass display case filled with thousands of minifigures, and a LEGO building area that kept my son happily entertained while I checked us in.
Tip: The self-service kiosks were really quick and easy to use, though staff were on hand if you prefer an old-school check-in.
🗺️ Legoland Hotel: Our Themed Adventure Room
We stayed in a Premium Adventure Room (think Indiana Jones vibes), and my son was absolutely thrilled. He had cosy bunk beds, his own TV with a non-stop LEGO channel, and a drawer full of bricks to build with. There was also a hidden treasure chest where you solve a puzzle to unlock a prize – though I only discovered this after we’d already checked out… whoops!
The room was full of decorative LEGO touches – even the bathroom had models – and it was spotlessly clean. I loved having a comfortable king-size bed in a separate area to unwind after a busy day in the park.
Other Legoland Hotel Room Options
🥷 NINJAGO Themed Rooms
Inspired by the NINJAGO universe, these rooms feature themed wall art, scroll-like designs, and decorative elements based on the characters from the LEGO NINJAGO series.
☠️ Pirate Themed Rooms
Pirate-themed rooms are styled with LEGO pirate characters, treasure maps, nautical elements, and playful decor like parrots and treasure chests.
🧁 LEGO Friends Rooms
These rooms are themed around the LEGO Friends characters and their home of Heartlake City – so expect lots of pastel colours, character art, and heart motifs.
Wondering what it will cost for your dates?

LEGOLAND Hotel Facilities
The LEGO Playroom
The LEGO Playroom (open daily from 3pm–9pm) might just be the best part of the hotel for little builders. It features:
- Build tables with thousands of bricks
- A DUPLO area for toddlers
- A coffee shop for grown-ups
My son loved exploring all the different building tables – he made a coral reef, castles, skyscrapers and more. Staff were on hand at times to encourage themed builds too, which was a nice touch.
Tip: According to the website, access to the playroom is free when staying in Premium rooms, or if you’re a Merlin Annual Pass holder (if you’re in a standard room, there’s a £10 charge per child) BUT nobody was checking entry during our stay and we just walked right in both times. Do with that information what you will…
Pirate Splash Pool
This indoor, pirate-themed splash zone is designed for younger kids, with mini slides, water cannons, and fountains. It’s not huge, so you’ll need to book a time slot at reception or via the website. We didn’t get a chance to use it this time, but it looked like great fun for little ones.
Legoland Hotel: Restaurant
We ate dinner at the Bricks Restaurant and honestly, I didn’t rate it.
At £28 per adult plate and £15 per child, it was overpriced for food we found to be mediocre at best. Also, soft drinks weren’t included – which felt stingy for a buffet.
Many families were ordering takeaways or eating at the Skyline Bar instead, which was more reasonably priced:
Burgers: £15–17, Pizzas: £12–16, Kids’ meals: £8–10.
The outdoor playground is located right next to the terrace of the Skyline Bar, meaning adults can enjoy a drink while kids play within eyesight. Win-win! You also have the option to take food from the bar up to your room.
The breakfast buffet included with your stay, however, is surprisingly good!
Full English and continental options, plus a pancake station with toppings for kids. As a vegetarian I appreciated the proper veggie sausages (Quorn – style, not mushy veg patties).
Tip: If you do plan on eating at the Bricks Restaurant – don’t forget you must book in advance via the website.
Legoland Hotel: Evening Entertainment
Every evening there’s a rotating line-up of LEGO-themed shows and activities near the Skyline Bar. Here’s an example of what was on during our stay:
- 6:00pm – Dance party with the LEGOLAND team
- 6:30pm – NINJAGO live show
- 7:00pm – Fun & games (musical statues, quizzes)
- 7:30pm – Magic show
- 8:00pm – Character party with dancing & photo ops
Legoland Hotel: Character Meet and Greets
We saw LEGO pirates, knights, and NINJAGO characters in the hotel lobby in the morning and early evening. No long lines, and staff gave every child time to pose for photos.
Tip: Check the screen in the lobby or ask reception for times.
On-Site LEGO Shop
Located near reception, this small but well-stocked store is open later than the park shops. Prices are standard LEGO retail, not discounted – but it’s perfect for a reward or last-minute gift.
Option 2: The LEGOLAND Castle Hotel
There is LEGOLAND accommodation for everyone. The LEGOLAND Windsor Castle Hotel is the more boutique-feeling sibling to the main LEGOLAND Hotel – with a magical medieval twist.
Built to resemble a LEGO castle, this hotel is bursting with immersive theming, interactive details, and kid-friendly surprises around every turret.
Even before you step inside, the building makes a big impression with its turrets and brick-built flags. A suit of LEGO armour guards the entrance, and you might even spot enchanted creatures and jesters climbing the walls – all made entirely from LEGO bricks.
The hotel lobby is themed like a grand medieval hall, with chandeliers, shields, and more brick-built characters. A LEGO play area keeps kids busy while grown-ups check in, and everything from the carpets to the furniture has been designed with the LEGO medieval world in mind.
LEGOLAND Castle Hotel: Room Options
There are two room types at the Castle Hotel, both include:
- A LEGO building station and treasure hunt with a reward
- TV with LEGO channel
- King-sized bed for adults and bunk beds + pull-out trundle for kids
- Plenty of themed LEGO models and décor throughout
- En-suite bathroom with LEGO touches

Legoland Castle Hotel Restaurant
Exclusive to Castle Hotel guests, The Tournament Tavern is styled like a royal banquet hall – but with a more relaxed, family-friendly vibe. Open for breakfast and dinner, the menu includes burgers, pies, pasta, and grilled meats, with vegetarian options and kids’ menus available. We didn’t eat here so I can’t give my opinion on the food.
Guests often praise the Tavern as a quieter, better-value alternative to the main Bricks Restaurant in the LEGOLAND Hotel.
Like in the Legoland Hotel, breakfast is included with all Castle Hotel stays.
Tip: You’ll need to book dinner in advance – this restaurant is exclusively for Castle Hotel guests and gets busy during peak periods.
Legoland Castle Hotel: Evening Entertainment
Like the main hotel, the Castle Hotel offers evening fun, usually held in the Tavern or nearby public spaces. Activities can include:
- Meet-and-greets with castle characters (knights, princesses, wizards)
- Mini shows or storytime sessions
- Games and LEGO building contests
- Occasional magic or puppet shows for younger kids
It’s more low-key than the Skyline Bar entertainment, but still magical – and often less crowded.
Access to the Legoland Hotel for Castle Hotel guests
Castle Hotel guests also get access to:
- The LEGO Playroom (located in the main hotel)
- Pirate Splash Pool (bookable via the app)
- Character Meet & Greets in shared public areas
- The on-site LEGO shop, located in the LEGOLAND Hotel lobby
Option 3: LEGOLAND Woodland Village Lodges
The Woodland Village is LEGOLAND Windsor’s newest on-site accommodation!
Set in a leafy area a short walk from the main park, the Woodland Village is all about combining forest vibes with kid-friendly fun. Think timber-clad cabins, tree stumps for seating, fairy lights strung through the trees, and – of course – brick-built LEGO creatures peeking out from the hedgerows. The entrance feels peaceful and relaxed, with a central lodge building housing the reception, shop, and restaurant. The whole area is pedestrian-only, so it’s also safe for kids to run around.
LEGOLAND Woodland Lodge Options
There are over 130 eco-conscious lodges on-site, all with woodland-themed interiors and family-friendly layouts. They’re spread across car-free forest lanes, with play zones dotted throughout. All lodges are eco-certified, heated, and fully insulated – so you’re cosy even in cooler months. There’s also thoughtful use of sustainable materials and low-energy lighting throughout the village.
LEGOLAND Woodland Village: Woodland Barrels (sleep up to 4)
- Heating

LEGOLAND Woodland Village: Standard Woodland Lodges (sleep up to 5)

LEGOLAND Woodland Village: Restaurant
The Clubhouse Restaurant is a spacious, wood-beamed dining hall serving buffet breakfast and table-service dinner. The food focuses on hearty, family-friendly meals – pizzas, burgers, pastas, and grill options – with veggie and kids’ menus available. I’ll be honest though, we didn’t eat here so I can’t give you my honest opinion.
Breakfast is included with your stay.
There’s also a small convenience and souvenir shop on-site stocking LEGO sets, snacks, and essentials. It also has Woodland Village exclusive LEGO items.
LEGOLAND Woodland Village: Evening Entertainment
While not as showy as the main hotel line-ups, the Woodland Village offers gentle, relaxed activities in the evenings, such as:
- LEGO storytelling by the fire
- Nature-themed quizzes or treasure hunts
- Quiet play in the Clubhouse
- Meet-and-greets with forest-themed LEGO characters
Ideal for families with younger kids who want to wind down after a busy park day.
Legoland Accommodation – Outdoor Fun & Play Areas
One of the highlights of the Woodland Village is how much space there is for kids to roam and explore. There are Woodland Trails – Short walking loops with LEGO wildlife models and interactive boards about local plants and creatures. Great for a post-dinner stroll or early-morning adventure. Outdoor Play Areas are scattered through the village, featuring wooden climbing frames, tunnels, and swings. There’s even a Campfire Circle where, in the evenings, guests can gather around (weather permitting) for storytime, marshmallow toasting, or low-key entertainment. LEGO characters occasionally make surprise appearances, too!

Budget Tips for Legoland Accommodation (Because Let’s Be Honest…)
Let’s not pretend this is a cheap stay, it isn’t – but there are ways to get better value:
- Look for Stay & Play Deals: You can sometimes get £140 for one night, breakfast, and access to hotel perks.
- Bring snacks & drinks: Legoland eateries in general are pricy.
- Visit off-peak: Try midweek stays in May, September, or early November. The park may be closed on some days, but the hotel still offers plenty to do.
- Check for vouchers: Merlin Pass holders and 2-for-1 offers can make a big difference.
