One of the things that immediately stood out about Erw Glas Glamping was the location. The views are incredible in every direction, with mountains, rolling countryside and peaceful surroundings that instantly make you slow down and relax.

Although the site feels wonderfully secluded, it is also perfectly located for exploring some of the best attractions in North Wales. Conwy, Llandudno, Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia National Park are all within easy reach, making it an ideal base for a North Wales family holiday.

The atmosphere on site is calm, welcoming and relaxed. It never feels overcrowded and there is plenty of space for children to play safely outdoors.

The free-roaming chickens quickly became a favourite with our 4 year old and added such a lovely family feel to the site.

Staying in the Erw Glas Glamping Shepherd Huts with Hot Tubs

We stayed in one of the luxury shepherd huts and absolutely loved it. If you are searching for shepherd huts with hot tubs in North Wales, the Erw Glas Glamping ones really are something special.

The huts are beautifully designed and feel cosy while still offering plenty of comfort. Inside you will find memory foam mattresses, comfortable seating, a smart TV and a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, which was very much appreciated during chilly Welsh mornings.

Everything felt thoughtful and well planned, with little touches that made the stay feel more luxurious than traditional camping.

Outside was definitely the highlight for us.

Each shepherd hut has its own private outdoor space complete with seating, a barbecue, chiminea and a private wood-burning hot tub. Sitting in the hot tub surrounded by mountain views after a busy day exploring North Wales was easily one of the best parts of our stay.

The hot tubs are wood-fired, so they do take a little time to heat up depending on the weather, but honestly that became part of the whole experience. There was something really relaxing about slowing down, lighting the fire and enjoying the peaceful surroundings while waiting for the water to warm.

At night, the atmosphere was magical. The sky was full of stars and the whole site felt peaceful and quiet.

The Romantic Shepherd Hut also features a raised decking area, making it a perfect choice for couples looking for a romantic glamping break in Snowdonia.

Family-Friendly Fun at Erw Glas Glamping

As a family, one of the biggest things we look for when booking accommodation is whether somewhere genuinely feels family friendly. Erw Glas absolutely does.

The site has been designed with families in mind and the facilities are excellent. There is plenty of open space for children to run around, and the relaxed atmosphere means parents can properly unwind too.

The shower facilities were especially impressive. There is a free heated private family shower area complete with a double shower, toilet and changing area, which makes life so much easier when travelling with children.
